Charles isn’t a first year starter Brumsfield isn’t a first year starter They played worse those year than last year when they were first year starters.

Brumfield has missed half the season with injury. Charles is out of position at LT. everyone else is first year. The line will be vastly improved with the experience gained this year, this year’s redshirt freshmen injected, and perhaps 1-2 from the deep 2019 OL class.

Our schedule is certainly better next year. Auburn, Florida, A&M at home. Outside of Bama, those are our only tough games.

I'm not counting Texas because I think we curb stomp that team.

...

This is all with a very important caveat - we retain Aranda. But I think he stays.

Agree on all counts

I agree with your breakdown except for a couple of points.

I’m definitely not going to count on Ingram until it’s official he’s back. That said, I think the OL should be fine without him. Getting him back would just be gravy. There is the question of continuity and cohesion though if he is thrown back into the mix after the guys have all worked on gelling as a unit this year without him. Either way OL should be better, with another year under the new coach as well.

Also, Ed and Shelvin are not able to be counted on imo. Reports are Ed has chronic knee conditions, and that isn’t changing. Shelvin is Valentine 2.0 until proven otherwise. The DL will hinge on Rashard and Fehoko coming back. Return, and the unit is strong. If one leaves, we will have issues. If both leave, don’t even want to think about it. Sopsher obviously is a huge need here.

I like your point about Pettigrew a lot. I was very high on him being a big weapon for E this year. Losing him hurt. Hopefully he’s healthy and ready next year. Could be a big boost for the O.

Agree on Burrow as well. He has been the one thing keeping the offense afloat this year. A rising tide next year will certainly lift his play. Easy to forget he was only on campus a couple of months before the Miami game.

Again, replacing Tracy will be key as well, although honestly I don’t think we rely on FGs as much next year. Red zone offense should improve, and with the big games at home instead of road, there may not be as many games to the wire.

Agree, finishing strong is key for momentum. Mainly getting 10-2 and the NY6 Bowl. Even a close loss to a good team in a major bowl is ok. 11-2 would just be gravy
