No problem. Tough to do BPB for a loss, but that's part of the job, and despite what the football posters say, we're never going undefeated.

It's how he's swinging. Did you see him at the plate? He looked lost,
If he's not healthy then sit him until he is
Those were some poor hacks he took
I get it. But keep in mind, this is basically preseason. Let him take his hacks and get the kinks worked out vs Iowa, SHS, and so forth so when SEC play rolls around, he'll be ready. As frustrating as it is to lose these games, they mean pretty much nothing in the end. Treat them like preseason - they will be long forgotten come June.

Think we swept them to last year. They so scared of UT that Corbin is making up shite to report to NCAA like minor Level 3 infractions.

Tommy looked like he had never seen an off speed pitch from a LH before.
I hope he hits his stride and today he just was off but his swings and approach today was insanely disappointing. If he hit the ball hard a few times and went 0-5 then no complaints.
That first inning strike out looked like a deer in headlights

Tommy tanked.

I mean, sort of. He put Travinski in there in the 8th during a big at bat as a “can I count on this guy? Can he get it done?” type moment.
Travinski failed.
Now we know.
I have no problem with that in February vs Iowa.

Your coach is trash,
That’s rich coming from a program like LSU that steals money from a Children’s Hospital. Everyone hates him because he don’t coach for their team. If he coached at LSU and you was winning 50+ games a year, you wouldn’t care how he acted either.

I'm sure that shoulder is still a little sore. You don't hit 27 HRs in the ACC as a freshman and not have some talent. He'll come around.

We prefer coaches that make it out of regionals

That's fair. You guys are #1 and will be in the thick of things at the end of the season. Good luck the rest of the way, unless of course we meet again. You guys will be fine. It's one game in February... Lol it's a hot 40 degrees here in Iowa today.

I was pointing out that the Hawkeyes ran Skenes from the game last year in the 4th inning...
Brecht has been a top prospect. He made some money today. Screw playing football for our anemic offense... Make some dough kid.

Well since 2020:
Vitello has won over 120 games
Won 2 regionals
1-1 in Super Regionals
Sec Tournament Champs
SEC Regular Season Champs
Trip to Omaha.
2020 team would have went to Omaha if Covid wouldn’t have canceled that season. There’s only 1 coach on the SEC that has accomplished more that Vitello in this same time span and that Bianco winning the Natty Last year. No other school in the same time frame has done more than UT or won more.

The LHP was great all together, but he cut through the LSU lefties in the lineup. They were 0-6 with 4ks.
Not only did he not pinch hit for Jobert in the 4th, he brought in Beloso the next inning as a PH then substituted the spot for another LH (mic Paul )
So yea I get the tinkering, but not when you are setting them up to fail. This was flat out bad coaching today in the middle to late innings. Yea the game kinda doesn’t matter, but the idea that he thought those were good decisions kind of does

Some observations from being at the game:
Jobert looked almost lost in the field and misplayed 3 that cost us.
Jones cut off a throw from crews that was going home and they would have gotten the runner out easy. Lack of communication.
The double steal and scoring was embarrassing and I do not think Milazzo makes that mistake.
Everyone except crews looked lost at the plate. The amount of effortless and half swings were terrible.
To their defense the ump was trash and strike zone was ever changing.
I do believe this will be a good wake up call and hopefully they get their heads right.

LSU got an old fashion butt whipping. Hopefully, they learn from here and start to make contact with the ball and try not to hit every ball out of the park

Conflicting thoughts on this... If he can play without getting hurt worse, it's probably better for him to get acclamated and work through the slump
