My biggest takeaway from today is that we absolutely need Tre at 1st and Jobert can’t play in the field unless our outfielders are injured

We aren't losing by 10. Math must be optional in the hills

15 hits for Iowa. 2 for LSU

Iowa has two HRs and we haven't left the yard yet this weekend.

Just gross baseball from the tigers today

New #1 coming next week. It’s one thing to lose by 1 or a couple. But totally something else to be dominated and lose by 10.

This team needed to be humbled

Cooper has no business being a #2

Jobert is still way to inconsistent

Team still sucks arse with RISP

If coaches got to pick, I'd pick no 10 run rule against us. arse kickings are lessons learned.

It’s one thing getting beat by a good team, it’s another getting absolutely dominated in every aspect of the game against a team that won’t even make the tournament.

You don't know that. It's way too early to judge teams for this season. They are a Big10 team - not a directional school or mid-major.
People need to chill the eff out. It's February and it's baseball, not football. Anyone that thinks any baseball team will go unbeaten just doesn't know baseball.

I'll have to look at Google Maps to confirm but Round Rock is pretty far from Omaha.

Then you're not as good because we're not as good as #1? OK

Nippolt up, 1 out

Guidry pinch hitting

strike, 0-1
low, 1-1
inside but called strike, 1-2
high and outside, 2-2
hit him!

It is and they may get it together but I see some of the major issues that plagued us last year with strikeouts and defense.

and giving up 11 ER to Iowa?

Cooper is probably LSU’s 5th or 6th best starter

Once he left the game lsu only inserted pitchers in there to get cheap outs, hopefully doing enough to allow them to chip away

Johnson had an opportunity in the 4th to hit for Jobert & change the trajectory of the game but didn’t. Probably assuming they’d get another opportunity, but alas, they didn’t

All that to say; giving up 11 ER is kind of irrelevant. Neither Dutton or Hellmers will throw leverage innings for this team. And if lsu is going to roll, Cooper isn’t a weekend starter on a top team.
