Here's hoping that there are no findings released until a good while after we cut down the nets in Atlanta.

This was always going to happen, and I had thought I read an article a few months ago that said the NCAA was already on campus investigating.

Just hope they don't stumble across anything major.

Shoe companies have been part of running the AAU and college hoops going back to the 80's
Now with Nike, Addidas, Under Armour, it's more competitive than ever.
Schools are tied in with athletic apparel companies as well and it's a lucrative business to say the least.
In order to be competitive in college hoops, you had to do the same thing Duke, UK, UNC, Kansas were all doing.
Does LSU continue to sit back and remain irrelevant or do you play the game like everyone else and hope you don't get caught?
Is the NCAA going to clean it up?
Doubtful
They will vacate some wins for these teams, maybe take a schollie away or ban the coach for 10 games.
At end of the day will it stop, probably not.
Hell, Pearl got a show cause and had an assistant involved and I'm to believe he knows nothing about how this works.
To clean it up, almost every power 5 program might be ineligible for the cash cow that runs the NCAA - the basketball tournament.

To be honest idgaf

Ride or die with Wade. If they find a smoking gun we have the best AD in the country and I have full faith he’ll kill it with a hire.

The NCAA does not have legal access to any of the testimony from the federal investigation, so what do they have? Rumor and innuendo from "sources" but no transcripts of phone conversations, nothing.

This..... Nothing to see here.

They have nothing on LSU!!!! The NCAA requested the court doc's,(the tapes), and were denied. Also Book Richardson admitted to the NCAA investigators that he made up the 300K Naz Reid thing because he had to have an excuse as to why he was losing him to LSU. They also have basically pushed LSU to the backburner, informing LSU that they wont resume any investigation of the program until after the first of the year.

Read the tea leaves NC State and Kansas have both received NOA's compare what they had on those schools to what they have on LSU and its not even close! If I were Arizona, Auburn, Louisville, Creighton, And USCw. I probably wouldn't sleep very well at night.

Here's how this should look in a meeting with the NCAA, Wade and Woodward.

NCAA: Coach Wade is accused of using an intermediary to pay recruits to come to LSU. How do you respond?

Woodward: Oh? Show me your proof. Paper trail? Text messages? Calls? Wiretaps? That's what I thought. Eat my arse and leave my office.

Wade: LOL what he said.

If Duke and KY are not on this list, it's obviously bogus...

Year-end year-out, those schools wreak of recruiting improprieties, with enough examples to warrant an investigation...

The NCAA has to send a letter informing the institution of any and all investigations.
ESPN is not sent any info.
When did LSU receive notification?

sources say investigation underway into a few schools and LSU is listed as one

Yea, and what do they have? Not a damn thing except rumors and insinuations. Hopefully the NCAA will be done with this BS before November. I don't see how they can sanction or impose probation on LSU or Will Wade without the FBI wiretaps (and that's even if Wade is on the tapes and they can prove he was talking about money). The sooner they complete this crap the better for LSU recruiting. If by chance they do find something, I'm sure Will Wade will be fired.

Problem is that if they really want to get you, they can always find something to tweak against you.

Sounds like you are already making excuses for WW. If so, I think this is sad. If WW is investigated and found to have violated NCAA rules, Woodward should fire him.

The amount of teams that could face penalties for NCAA violations is a good thing bc there is no way the NCAA is really going to "investigate" anyone...what are they going to do punish everyone

You clearly didn’t read the article. I have no sources. It says sources reported to ESPN that investigations were underway at LSU. At least read before typing something so dumb. I’m just relaying what I read. Some of you are so sensitive.

The problem with your original post is that you did in a way as though this was breaking news. They’ve been under investigation for months now just like the other teams listed. This has been the case since the trial ended. Actually, one could argue they started investigating these schools before it ended.

Chicken should ban you.

You’re not an LSU fan. You only pop up in anti-Wade threads to trash Wade.

I don’t know who you are but your agenda couldn’t be more obvious.

At least chinyohang is entertaining. You’re just sad.
