5. Same rating I'd have given him the day he was hired.

2 average years in 2008 and 2009 that lead to 3 solid years
Everyone forgets what happened in 2007. That BCS title was fresh and lead to great recruiting. Now that title is 6 years old and the luster is gone. In those 6 years, Bama will win 4 out of 5. That will cost LSU what SHOULD HAVE BEEN the greatest class ever. Even with LF, the class will not touch what was expected.

A solid 8...great recruiter, players like him, and average X and O guy. Still don't know who we would get to replace him that would do better and it's been the best 10 years in football history. That doesn't happen without a strong leader.

I'd rate him a 4. He was an OBJ miracle punt return from being 0-2 against the retard from The Blind Side.

8 is the realization that he's a very good coach and right now every coach in the country is second to Saban.
So bc everybody else is second to Saban that makes our situation ok?
Some of you are born losers.
I'm convinced.

People think les is a top 5 coach?
He recruits good talent but not well enough to reload in his "three years and NFL" scheme he's trying to run. Hires good coordinators and mostly average position coaches. Those two things keep us afloat. However, he is completely and utterly ABYSMAL on gameday. It's borderline embarrassing how unprepared we look most of the time.

Started out hot. Quickly faded. I didn't realize this until last night, but Les has 1 bowl win with 100% his guys in the program. He was 4-0 his first 4 years with a stocked cupboard. 1-3 after with the lone win coming against A&M.

5.5. I picked LSU to finish 9-3 this year and if we beat A&M that will hold. However, I didn't see LSU losing to Ole Miss. The Ole Miss loss is the reason I rated him low

9, evereyone has a right to thier own opinions, but there is only one set of facts...80% winning 2 sec champs, 1 nc, petrino, pellinni, shula, price, donnan, goff, dubose, sherril, francione, paterno, dooley, zook, tressel, stoops the list goes on and on of coaches who didnt win, did stupid things, brought their programs down...so very few last 8+ years win 80% etc., so few....Les is one of them...

i was once a 9-10 guy, but the ole miss game and not calling the timeout to at least give us hope and a chance really irked me.. it's college football.. 30 seconds can be enough time to get in position for a fg.. (which is all we would need to tie) especially with a huge return.. which is also very possible.
