I would think that a coach who has been that consumed with basketball, for that long, would be a good bit better at the X’s and O’s of the game.

If you don't mind, explain in detail Wade's shortcomings as an x's and o's coach.

As opposed to spouting constantly repeated bullshite people like you read on the rant and take as gospel.

You don't win like he does at various schools if you're not a good coach.

He's about to be fully funded and coaching one of the top few brands in college sports. You're about to find out how good he is.

You’ll never get a real answer.

Only means NIL bought success.

Personally I don't think there is any better than JJ.

I can think of one

Love WW but he has an arduous task ahead of him. As good as he was here last time around we never made it past the sweet 16 and got blown out the one time we got that far. Additionally, the SEC is much deeper now than it was when he left here.

He's won everywhere he's been and he'll win everywhere he goes, and I'm thrilled to have him back.

How old was CWW then, how many years coaching did he have, did he actually coach in the NCAAT, did dicknose Alleva read an article, what happened with Duke lacrosse… These questions and more on the next episode of…

Winning records are fun but, as a program, what's the goal?
I'd like to see us make a deep tournament run more than once every 20 years. Only time will tell and I'm hopeful

How many winning records in the 4 years post Wade and 4 years pre Wade.

Just for context. The goalposts need to start somewhere before they’re moved.

I take solace in this - compare WW's record at the same age and years of service as Pearl and Self and it compares very favorably.

Time will tell if he follows that trajectory, but as you I am hopeful and actually excited. His goal is your goal.

Coach Wade ended up bringing him up there on a multi-day trip, let him stay in his house, and they'd stay up til like 3 or 4 AM talking ball. Said WW was a legitimately good dude and definitely a unique personality in how maniacal he is about the game. Like absolute eats, sleeps, and breathes basketball.

Thought that was a pretty cool story that WW took the time to mentor a young coach like that. Was also funny to hear him basically say WW comes off as kind of a weirdo because of how insane he is about ball.

That's what I'm talking about! That's the kind of coach we need coaching LSU men's hoops like Dale Brown was! Let's do this, Tigers!

I'm president of the Will Wade fan club, and I hear you loud and clear. It will be tougher, but I believe he's tougher and better since his first term here.

I've posted multiple times that I expect a Scott Drew/ Baylor type tenure or maybe even better from Wade at LSU.

If I'm right about this, I can't wait!

Man, I love the honeymoon phase on TD. Nothing better.

I remember when a lot of folks on here were so stoked because a certain baseball coach was all about baseball. Now they think the dude doesn’t know shite.

Wade’s first stint here I got to play golf with him in an LSU Properties fundraiser. Was a 4-man scramble + an LSU coach/celeb/admin. We didn’t know who we were getting until Wade walked up on first tee. Of our 4-some I was the only one who liked LSU basketball. Very nice guy from the start. I asked him if he played much golf and he said a couple times a year. He proceeded to hit lasers down the middle hole after hole carrying our team. I eventually asked him were the last times you played the prior 2 days because you are hitting it well. That’s when I learned he had college golf scholarship offers but passed on those because he was a basketball junky. The entire round he and I talked about basketball. Talked about Tremont, Javonte, KBW, handlers, recruiting in general. All kinds of stuff. After scrambles there is awards and a meal. This was my 4th time playing this and the prior years the LSU rep with us left not long after the golf was over. Not Wade, he sat with us, ate and continued chatting. Learned during that round what makes him such a good recruiter. He can talk on any level. Looking forward to what he can do this time around.
