Their offense has nothing to do with our offense. Their defense is 95th in Total defense. 11th in the conference. they went to OT vs Pitt and only beat Florida by 5 points for a reason.
UT’s rushing defense is actually 14th in the nation by yardage given up and 13th in yardage per attempt at only 3 ypc, which could be a problem for us.
Do you really believe our poorly performing pass offense, which had problems getting out of its own way vs decent competition, is suddenly going to set the world on fire Saturday? I have my doubts about Daniels’ ability to capitalize on their weakness, as mediocre as they pass D is.

Too bad it is an 11 am game instead of at night

Other than a stretch of good play in the 2nd half vs State, please point to the positive offensive performances you’ve seen vs P5 opponents so far. Maybe 2 drives vs FSU? That IT.
Every real drive except for 2 (not counting ruining our clock in first half) went inside the fsu 20

If we were Ball State or Akron

Only good LSU stats don’t count and need context.
Everyone else’s offense goes up weekly against the steel curtain

That's because anyone with eyes can see this LSU offense is not good and stats do not tell the entire story. It's not hard to understand. There's things there that aren't measured like how fast a team gets it going. LSU is shooting blanks in all 3 major games this season going down 14-0, 17-0, etc. and coming back. You can't keep doing that and expect to win. Someone is going to punch us in the mouth if the offense continues to shite the bed like that.

They gave up less than 150 yards and 3.3 and 3.6 ypc vs Pitt and UF. You act like they got gouged for 250+ on the ground.

And we somehow managed less than 350 yards of total offense in that one. But I guess that looks good compared to the 270 we managed against a much poorer opponent last night.
Keep pushing the rock uphill all you want, but nothing will make this offense look good to anyone paying attention who knows anything about football.

This offense is awful due to a lack of QB "production" and very little else.

So this comparison in what way negates what I have said about LSU QB play in 2022? Just not following...

You act like Pitt isn’t didn’t get held to 2 yards a carry by West Virginia and 3.4 against GTech.
We can do this all day. There is a lot of reason to believe Tennessee hasn’t really been tested.
Or we could talk about their 128th ranked passing defense. (Auburn is 36th, Miss State is 56 and FSU is 22nd for reference)

I also like my chances to continue to win more games than we lose considering we are statistically better than most of the teams remaining on our schedule on the side of the ball that is our worst.
I would agree if Southern and New Mexico were on the schedule more this year.

I don't see this as being true at all.
I agree, we still have florida.

We did not need to pass. Total control of the game.

Looking at the rankings just between LSU and Miss. St., you have to look at the teams each have played. LSU has played 2 cupcakes ( southern and New Mexico State which skewed/padded the stats ), FSU, MSU and Auburn. MSU has played Memphis, Arizona, bowling green, LSU and aTm, the quality of the competition is better for them and LSU’s defense is the reason their offense is ranked below LSU’s. So, to look at those rankings at face value are a little misleading and they are only 3 yards less in average than LSU.

The only teams in the country that haven’t played a few cupcakes at this point are those teams that are cupcakes.
Tennessee went to the wires with 2 3-2 teams and I don't Think either is a very good 3-2 team.

Awesome. Post positive LSU statistics with comps to major power 5 teams and I get 3 downvotes no responses.
Your first post was great! Then you ruined it by bitching about downvotes.

Bowling Green is the only team on MSU’s schedule that is remotely close to as bad as the 2 cupcakes LSU played and skewed LSU’s offensive stats where LSU’s defense skewed msu’s stats way down. You can’t look at those rankings at just face value, there’s a lot of factors that go into that. Take for example Western Kentucky last year, their offensive stats and their level of competition skewed their rankings way up, whereas if they played in the SEC or other stiffer competition, they would be ranked way lower.
Those 3-2 teams Tennessee played are still way better than the 2 shitty cupcakes LSU played. You have to look at both teams competition.

Wow that’s really neat! If you’re happy with where we’re at now then let’s continue doing exactly what we’re doing and not change a thing!
