First live game action in an offensive system that's about a billion light-years ahead of the previous regime. Also, the play calling was not putrid and the execution was as good as expected in a season opener regardless of the new system in place. Despite the red zone problems the fact here is you had a quarterback go 14 of 17 with those three incompletions being two throw aways and a dropped pass. On top of that your two running backs piled up 200 yards plus and were nearly unstoppable. We didn't allow a sack and the O-Line made another FBS aka power program look like a high school scout team. A missed field goal and a goal line stop causes the score to not look as dominant as the game truly was. Honestly what game were you watching if you have any complaints beyond the usual first game issues. Maybe try to look at the game within the game before posting a bunch of garbage nextime guy.

LOL, 'dude', the ONLY thing I saw that needed improvement was the red zone play calling and execution.

Where's the 'bunch of garbage'? Maybe try reading more carefully and thinking before you post.

Putrid play calling...any other garbage you tried to complain about. I need to read? Try again.

We get it. Red zone offense wasn't perfect, but LSU DOMINATED byu. We think you're being nitpicking when we're trying to enjoy the win. Do you get it?

How do you know that the play calling was bad if the players didn't execute?

So you saying that this team didn't look much more in shape, faster, precise, just overall better coached?

Because I've talked to others from BYU, SEC teams, and LSU fans that actually know football and they all agreed that this team looked much more prepared than in the past.

Almost 500 yards of offense. We drove the ball at will against a very good defense. There is no doubt that this defense is great. They have been for a while. Why do you think BYU fans were do confident? Because of that defense and the way they are coached. LSU just had superior athletes which they will have against almost every team they play. So if we run up and down the field on every team, I guess you'll just say that all those teams sucked as well?

BYU had a top 10 defense. LSU fans were nervous (not me btw) and Mangum is a previous 3000 yard 20+ TD QB 2 years ago. They sucked because LSU was that good. You don't hold any team to under 100 yards, pitch a shut out and not be worth a shite. You also don't run for triple the run total on a top 10 run defense and not be strong in the run game.

LSU made them pay when they crept up as well. The only issues were 85 yards in penalties, and the RZ offense. Why Canada wasn't creative down there is a good question but other than that it was a dominating perfromance by coach O and staff period. Idk what more you could want from a first game in a new offense but to dominate the game? Crazy

No, your bitching because LSU didn't put up 60 points and wasn't absolutely perfect in their first game. Your doing what all of these other idiotic LSU fans are doing and was expecting fireworks in gm 1 with a new implemented offense. Now your pissed thinking our offense sucks still because we didn't avg. 25 yds per play.

Ensminger ran the exact same number of plays against a SEC team on the road last season and had 46 runs and 28 passes. Same players as last night tallied most all the stats. Team scored 54 points, Tailback set a team rushing record. QB had a 95 QBR and put up 324 yds passing. This was with the same players! So did you lower your expectations this year and No I did not expect a repeat of that performance I did expect more. Oh, and the playbook was completely exposed by this time of the season...

82% passing, 10 yards per attempt.

Just terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Why are we giving the new coaches such a big break?

Because the new guys don't suck like them and we were up 14 by the 2nd quarter.

It was a dominating win especially with 13 players missing.
However, BYU may be just plain BAD. Tight game until the 4th quarter with Portland State.
Enjoy the win. One game at a time.

Portland State went down to the wire with Oregon St and lost 32-35 last night.

LOL, 27 points with that kind of offensive output?

We should have easily scored 45. Just pointing out the truth.

The same could be said about any team who was held to FG tries on drives. It's football. Penalties, bad execution, good play by the other team all are part of the game.

There will be reason to bitch this season. This game is not one of them. Just enjoy the fact that the offense looked pretty good and will get better and the defense was lights out without 3 starters.
