We were lucky with Bregman, the only reason he made it to campus was because he had a hand injury. If it wasn’t for that he was going to be a first round pick.

I bet you wanted Vitello.

Nope. WAY over the top for me. The only “cocky” Coach I can handle is Spurrier. He won. He backed it up.

but jay doesn’t act like either of those guys.

he is so laid back it’s hard to come across as cocky.

Yeah that Jay Johnson guy never wins shite. He doesn't even have any trips to Omaha, much less any national titles.

Agree and this not good.

As for the OP's question (and I have no idea about his post history nor do I care), players who do not see meaningful reps as a Fr/So are flight risks, It's a two way street. Players who do not show promise as a Fr/So are liable to be "de-ported." Neither players nor coaches have the luxury of waiting for players to develop in house and revert back to the old paradigm.

Going forward, I expect to see about a 60-70% attrition rate from HS recruits w.r.t. their Jr/Sr season.

No I don’t care for JJ.

What is there to honestly not like about CJJ?

Year 1 - 40-22 Overall, 17-13 SEC 3rd in West, NCAA Regional (Lost in regional final)

Year 2- 54-17 Overall, 19-10 SEC 2nd in West, WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS, Coach of the Year

Year 3- 43-23 Overall, 13-17 SEC T-4th in West (With a shitty first half schedule that 3-4 games could have gone to a 17-13 record like year 1, NCAA Regional (Lost in regional final)

Recruiting in all those years for incoming freshmen and portal top-tier classes.

I guess your expectations are like the few that LSU "needs" to win the championship every year. Statistically, that is an impossible standard.

The Bible didn't say there weren't many other ways of being a fool. We are gonna have to redefine the word fool or use another word. How about moron or tard? I think fool is softer and more friendly tbh.

Bergman

Definitely the greatest LSU Tiger baseball player to never play for LSU.
