Aliyah Boston is my go to player when talking about reese because they are in a similar role as the #3 option behind two designated scorers. For comparison Boston shoots 52.6% in the paint.
Per pro basketball reference Aliyah Boston shoots 66.7% from inside 3 feet for her career.

Aja wilson the best player in the league shoots 59.3% in the paint.

I’ll end my day proving this also, I argue with facts not my opinion
But hey maybe you want to immediately discredit this and say it isn’t true? Its still a fact even if not completely accurate.

I have to like every single player that comes through LSU?
What a ridiculous straw man. You’re better than that.
OP, however, is not. I couldn’t read past Boosie’s shite post not even halfway down the 1st page, and OP had already put an embarrassingly amount of effort into shitting on the best player on the only National Championship basketball team LSU has ever had. Whom most everybody loved while she was here.
If this is about her post-LSU career, get it the frick off the Rant and onto the MSB where all the other “I don’t watch the WNBA, yet I know everything about it and it sucks” circle-jerkers congregate in thread after thread hate-posting their “indifference.” That’s not what this board is for.
Yet we have assholes who seem to happy to pop in and tell us how Dylan Crews, arguably the best player in LSU baseball history, who helped lead us to our 1st baseball NC in 15 years, and repped LSU with nothing but absolute class for his entire 3 years, sucks for the Nationals in only his 3rd full season of professional baseball. Not just pointing out his struggles, but gleefully arguing with people optimistic that he seemed to be turning it around.
That group of assholes is small, granted, but they shouldn’t even fricking exist. Nor should the even greater group of assholes who even more gleefully express their hate—not just current, but permanent—towards the 2nd best QB in LSU history, who had arguably the greatest 1 or 2 individual seasons by a QB in college football history, who won only the 3rd Heisman Trophy in LSU’s 100+ year history a mere 2 and a half years ago, while being one of the most likable players most of us can ever remember, because of a silly PR blunder likely caused by his overbearing mother. As a Jayden fan, I too, am disappointed. But the vitriol from some of these mouth-breeding assholes should be hard to even comprehend. Sadly, because of years of reading bullshite like I know is contained in the rest of this shite thread started by the shite OP, it’s not. They’re not just pissed at Jayden, they wish Ill will upon him for the rest of his life, and nothing he could ever possibly do could redeem himself. Can y’all not see how fricked up that is? And it’s transcended mere hate. They actually are getting a weird, fricked up joy out of the hate. They are glad it happened so they can spew their miserable arse-holiness all over this whole place. It’s not just sad or pathetic—though it is both of those—it’s fricking scary. For a lot of reasons, the least of which is the lack of self awareness to realize their thoughts are infinitely more embarrassing and hurtful to LSU and its fanbase than the very thing Jayden did to unleash their miserable love-hate, which was there all along, just waiting—hoping—to have a reason to be unleashed. Sick, stupid, miserable fricks.
I do see—and concede—my own love-hate of all the a-hole love-haters has also just surfaced and been revealed. But at least I am aware of my hypocrisy.
But seriously, this is an MSB thread.

I’ll say this about Reese as a basketball player. For someone as good as rebounding especially at putting herself in positions to get them, man you gotta work on those putbacks! That needs to be your whole life getting better at that. It’s like Zion, you know your deficiency why aren’t you trying to get better at that? It’s your job!!!

Marrero obviously never played basketball. The entire lane is inside the paint. So one step inside the foul line is inside the paint roughly 14 and a half feet from the bucket. Just because 3 feet is well outside of Angel's range doesn't mean its outside the paint.
But go ahead keep your ignorance on display.

The entire lane which is more than 3 feet. Just exactly why I stopped reading your last paragraph immediately.
You said specifically within 3 ft dumb dumb.

Please reference when I said 3 feet you ignorant bitch other than saying 3 feet is beyond Angel's shooting range.
Curious why haven't you mentioned her 4 games previous to last night when she shot a combined 29%.
Curious since your such a big WNBA bettor why don't u take bet I offered you with me taking Chicago finishing with better record than last year and Atlanta finishing worse than last year. Surely if Angel is the elite player you say she is then Atlanta should finish better and Chicago worse.
Step up little man!

So now wtf is your purpose here if she’s limited in one area and elite in two others why are you so focused on the one area she struggles in?
Inside 3 feet is where layups occur and this thread is about layups. I’m just staying on topic

Muddogs stop trying to confuse Marrero with facts and logic obviously he doesn't believe in those.
Posted on 8/19/26 at 11:37 am to Rudy40
Lol apparently the stats I pulled from the most commonly used site for basketball statistics is my opinion, not fact
Posted on 8/19/26 at 12:04 pm to SCLSUMuddogs
No they are to 99.99% of the world just not to Marrero if they conflict with his argument that Angel is the greatest player to ever touch a basketball.

From this clip, it looks like Reese in on par with other WNBA shooters. Reese missed after catching the end of game AIRBALL by her teammate, then after Reese's missed put back, another of her teammates misses another easy put back. So 3 different players, 3 ugly shots in less than 5 seconds. Why is Reese singled out? Looks like they all suck.
Posted on 8/19/26 at 5:10 pm to CoatesHall
You obviously have not watched many of her highlights Coates Hall. While in general all of them miss alot of easy put backs the majority of the rest of the league can make wide open uncontested layups Angel still struggles.
Also Angel is shooting 41% from the field for the season which for someone who shoots 90 % of their shots within 3-5 feet is pathetic.
