glad I don't watch basketball. cant take any more mediocre frustration

If you are to dense to understand that "mediocre" in basketball is actually damn good considering the roster and the turn around from last year, compared to mediocre in football, then I am glad you don't watch basketball.

You'll be among the first next year claiming to be a basketball super fan when this team is rolling.

We've 6 top 50 wins. We will likely have more top 50 wins than anybody not in the tournament. We lost to a team playing as good as any team in the conference and maybe the country, calm down.

For those predicting one, maybe two more wins down the stretch, have you looked at our remaining schedule? We go 3-2 or 4-1 and this team will make the NIT. Go on a 5 game streak and we at least make the SECT interesting.

Waters play early was the only reason we were above average. His issues lately have placed us firmly in the average category . I still think we will get NIT

you're actually posting about a team that is or isn't NIT quality.

They are an NIT team, but I’ll never understand the concept of holding a nationwide tournament to find out who is the 69th best team in the country.

You honestly think the NIT winner will be the 69th best team in the country?

LSU will likely not win the NIT. Hell, they may not even make it, but they would most probably beat the lower NCAA tournament teams (rated 13 and below).

Winner of NIT does no equal 69th best team.

They're posting about the LSU Tigers on an LSU focused message board called the Tiger Rant? Shocking.

Def an NIT squad and if they can win 2-3 more they’ll deserve a bid.

You sure post a lot about a team you allegedly “don’t watch.”

And there are people thought we'd make the dance. I don't want to go unless we have a chance at doing good. We don't have a chance at the big dance or the NIT.

I don't think you know what "objective" means. By every objective measure imaginable, this team is an NIT team as of now. Of course it could change if we straight up shite the bed in the rest of our games. Being "inconsistent" doesn't preclude a team from having a resume sufficient to make the NIT.

Man, guess teams like Mercer, George Mason, FGCU etc. should just go home then, because everyone would have said they didn't have a chance at doing good.

You are correct. Objectively was not used properly so I edited to “IN MY OPINION”. As of now, objectively speaking based on current projections, LSU would have a high probability of getting an invite to the NIT if they were awarding bids today.

Okay, 50th best.
Or 36th.
Does it matter?
Pointless tournament.
