What would you rather have as a basketball fan 1st round loss in NCAA or NIT champs?? *disclaimer- not saying LSU will do either

Personally, I'd take the NIT and hope they go a couple of rounds.
The experience will help for next year.

Hell, if this FBI investigation drops, we may be a top 4 seed by March.

Currently Dratings.com has us in the next 4 out category and as a 2 seed in the NIT fwiw. So 3-2 should get us in the NIT, 4-1 might get us a 1 seed.

Then you don't really follow college basketball or know wtf you are talking about, do you?

Vandy made the NCAA's at 19-11 a few years back. College basketball goes off of RPI, big road wins, and then the committee looks at particular cases, where injuries played a factor in records etc.

Currently, with the strength of the SEC this year, this team is very easily an NIT team. How we finish down the stretch will determine our seed for it.

If we blow the rest of the the season then we could miss the NIT. If we finish 17-13, and win one SEC tourney game, we will be 18-14 and an NIT 5 or 6 seed.

Sad thing is if this team doesn't blow the VANDY, GA, and SFA games, we are sitting pretty at 17-8.
