Comparing football expectations to baseball is absurd. LSU baseball leads the nation in attendance and has a top 5 stadium in the country. You could bring in one of the top 20 college coaches in the nation to LSU baseball and they could do just as good as what PM has done.
The 2009 team had so much talent on it and DJ saved us in that CWS.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Yes, the expectations for football and baseball are very high, but I think football is an easier gig. There are only a few elite football programs that can even come close to LSU's access to top recruits. LA produces a load of elite talent, and no one can really take them out of the state if we are winning. It is also much easier to evaluate football talent, in my opinion, than baseball.
In baseball, there are far more teams in Division I and far more quality teams nationally (for example, almost all of the SEC schools are pretty darn good, as are the ACC schools, plus a host of smaller schools like Rice, Houston, ULL, Irvine, Kennesaw St., Georgia Southern, all of which are either bad in football or don't even have a team). In football, there are only about 15 elite programs.

And about 1/2 of the country cant even play baseball but 1/2 the year. Baseball in the South has a distinct advantage......being a consistent winner is a given. That is why the baseball bar is set higher.
Football success is hard earned.

Football is so much tougher. If your QB is not that good, you are going to have a tough time winning a NC. Football actually has to develop the players much more. If baseball recruits a guy throwing 95, he could basically take the mound day 1 and be successful. Yes it helps if they develop them but you don't have to develop them near as much as what football does.
In football, there are probably 30 programs that have compareable stadiums and facilities. In baseball, there are probably less than 10 schools that have as nice of facilities.

Sounds like CPM takes care of his needs and to hell with LSU and LSU Fans. What do you expect from an administrator and a coach who are not from around here? They don't bleed purple and gold, they take care of themselves and cash in our green.

LSU (and all Louisiana public schools) also has the massive advantage of TOPS to keep the best talent in state in a sport that gets very few athletic scholarships.
