Update: Fournette says racial slur used

Leonard Fournette was caught on camera threatening a heckler in the fourth quarter of the Jacksonville Jaguars' latest loss Thursday in Tennessee.
In a video posted Monday (Dec. 10) by TMZ, the former LSU running back approached the the seats behind the Jacksonville team bench and reportedly said “Listen, you’re too old for that. I will beat your ass.” Soon after, Fournette was pulled back toward the team bench by what appeared to be a pair of Jaguars staffers.

The coach said he met with Fournette after a team walkthrough Monday.
“He said there was a racial slur,” Marrone said. “So that’s what was told to me.”
Marrone said Fournette would not be reprimanded for his reaction.

He is so frustrated because he is an injury machine. He will never be who we all hope he will be because you can't become legendary sitting on the sideline watching Yeldon play.

I'm by no means sticking up for an idiot heckler, but LF IS a grown arse man.
Needs to happen more often. Few things are more pathetic than some pot-bellied loser heckling a pro or college athlete because he knows he's protected by a fence and security, knowing full well without that fan-player relationship and the security he would never say shite to a given athlete.

Wrong.
People should be able to say what they want, as long as they aren't cussing them, or talking about family, etc.
If it's a simple "You suck", etc...LF7 needs to act like an adult making millions and realize that's what he signed up for.

Personally, I think it's classless to heckle, but hecklers exist, and players just need to ignore it. The fact that Fournette wanted to go after the guy is very embarrassing.

There should be some accountability though. It should be known that if you say some stupid shite there's a chance you will get your arse beat. They have a false sense of security because they're in the stands, they wouldn't act like that in a normal setting.

Exactly. I'm not saying Leonard didn't (maybe) overreact. But these people that talk crazy shite behind security and fences are pathetic and need to be scared a little.
So what? Who cares what the fan said? The fan is supporting his team by getting under the opposing teams skin.
