Well, any road game is tough, but LSU is a substantially better team than UCLA, at every position, except possibly head coach.

This game doesn't really concern me. Now I was literally walking the floor before the Bama game in 2019, and was still shaking when Bama cut it down to 33-27 on a Najee run at the start of the 4th quarter.

RELAX... I would hate to be anyone playing us week one. This team has a lot to prove and they know it. They will be playing with a chip on their shoulder. I expect the defense to be nasty.. Excited is an understatement. You should be too.

I agree. All these folks saying LSU will win, "just because," obviously have short memories. We lost to TROY! This wasn't even the first game of the season, we didn't travel across the country, we had home field advantage, and all bullshite aside, more proven coordinators. Anyone thinking LSU can't lose this game is just kidding themselves.

You make many good points, Tiger Scorpion. Also, it’s the Tigers opener, so we don’t totally know what to expect.

While certainly I expect an LSU victory, the team needs to be ready to go and as the old cliche goes, you shouldn’t take any opponent for granted.

Personally, I think the game, for all intents and purposes, will be over with by the beginning of the fourth quarter when Nuss and the second team will be inserted. Then Nuss being the gunslinger he is will score two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Yeah I'm not worried. We're playing UCLA not USCz hell not even Arizona St. The key will be LSU's defense. I really think they put UCLA down in the 3rd quarter after feeling them out for a half. LSU will be up by 14-17 going into the 4th quarter.

Well if you want to put the two programs into context, LSU won 1 less game in 2019 than UCLA has in the last 4 years combined

And even as bad of a year LSU had as a follow up last season, they still had a better record than UCLA with a schedule that UCLA likely would’ve gone winless with the same type of schedule or won 1-2 games maybe

Some of those guys may have great NFL careers. But not one LSU player is proven. We sucked last year frankly. Some guys showed potential, let’s see if they put in the work and can walk the walk.

But it’s the same defense from last year.

Between the injuries, covid cases, players opting out, and no fans in the stadiums, how can you compare this year to last?
And no, we aren't returning a bunch of bad players.
