There's probably some bitterness there since our sports overlap so much. That's a guess. Football gets a pass, because let's face it, it's football. Plus, LSU is a rare place where baseball gets more attention than basketball (on a local/fan level).

I don't think there has to be or should be any animosity between us. We're all just fans, and some are more passionate than others. And these two sports have the least amount of rantards to deal with so it should be easier to get along.

In 2011 they were a bubble team that missed they avg 6060 actual attendance. Paid was great but we know that doesn'tmean much. Hell lLSU vs vandy was 9700 paid

And we all love football here. So people prob wouldn't have said as much if used feronette. But as basketball fans every year we get baseball yards hop into game threads and make a baseball countdown comment. Since baseball is niche it figures plenty aren'tbaseball fans in tthe basketball thread and could care less about baseball count downs and gettired of baseball fan thinking baseball is a big deal and shitting on college sports 2nd biggest sport.
Baseball fan doesn't care about basketball at LSU so they get tired of basketball fan saying how small baseball is and if baseball had bad year while bball was good would prob hate dropping bball stats in athread lLSU baseball just lost yo a rival in.
Even though two sides hate each others sports both like football so most people would prob agree with at least we have said football star

It just amazes me that some people can like only our baseball and football teams though. I'm a huge fan of all our sports, including the women's sports. People say they bleed purple and gold. But do they really?

And what was LSU bball's average paid and actual attendance in 2011?

Baseball fan doesn't care about basketball

Why can't one be a fan of both? I would venture to say that's the case for a lot?

You're telling me there are more basketball fans at LSU than there are baseball fans?

I'm sure this happens, but I hope you don't stereotype the rest of us because of it. I think for the most part, the baseball fans aren't out to troll basketball.

I'll be the first to admit that it's small nationally. Can't deny that.

I certainly would not be happy about it.

I know some people that love baseball and football but then class a duke/Carolina/etc as their basketball team.

And tthey are die hard. I honestly wonder if baseball went 5 non tourney years how many of those would as big of baseball fans. Not talking about the true die hard baseball fans. Talking about the I love baseball andfootball but basketball ddoesn't win so I'm a huge duke fan type of fan

So can I call you an a-hole since you said "baseball shite"?

I'm definitely not one of those people. I grew up in Baton Rouge and focused solely on baseball since 8th grade. My parents never brought me to basketball or football games. I became of fan of Skip Bertman and his players. I went to the camps. My dad got us season tickets in my junior year of high school and we went to a good number of games. I was never good enough to play at the D1 level, but I played baseball in college. I continued to follow LSU as a few of my friends were there. Now that I'm out of college, I don't pretend to know much about the football or basketball teams, but I still love the baseball and the Box.

I won't speak for others, but I was hardcore even during the late Smoke/early Mainieri years.

I hope you are not classifying me as this.

I'm not saying you are, but I'm just wondering where this came from.

I don't know I said prob around 4k. I don't know why you are asking like I didn'tsay baseball avgs more.

I didn't say couldn't be a fan of both. I made it clear I was talking about the ones who like one and didn't like other.

Yes..college baseball is niche

And where did I even remotely state LSU has more basketball fans? Basketball needs a run of good seasons to take back over 2nd spot. They haven't come near that. Not sure how saying college basketball is the 2nd biggest sport in college athletics infers that I said LSU basketball has more fans than baseball

You seem like you're trying to spin my words when I haven't disagreed about attendance at all

We got to witness this during the end of the Laval era. LSU "fans" love to brag on themselves, but most are as bandwagon as they come.

Not trying to spin your words. I'll be honest, your typing was not the best and I tried to decipher the point as best I could. Obviously, I missed it.
