This will end up being the most important coaching change in CFB.

I'm hoping the same. Will give Steele props though, I thought it was going to be worse than the 2008 season but he held it together. Offense didn't really help that much for TOP in the games we lost. But i'm pumped about Aranda and think he is going to shine here.

You know Bama fans are laughing their arse off. Steele did an average job last year with a ton of talent.

I saw something on sec network where it was said "Steele will clean things up for the auburn defense and simplify assignments" making this the best d under Malzahn since he got there.

Last time we played a Kevin Steele coached defense, LSU had 9 first downs, under 100yds rushing, and was 3/13 on 3rd downs.

I'm stoked he's gone and we have Aranda, but damn I hope the game @Auburn isn't a repeat of that Peach Bowl game against Clemson.

Steel's defense was awful. I've never seen a defense give up more first downs on 3rd and 20.

That makes no sense, Steele's biggest knock is that he tries to do too much and get too complicated for his own good. Don't get me wrong, he was solid last year. But solid with LSU's talent level equals not so solid with Auburn's talent level.

I've got a plethora of Auburn friends and not a single one of them feels like they made a good hire. Their talent is inferior to what we had last year so they feel like the result will be as well.

No sir. Steeles defense last year was right there with 2008. It was garbage at times.

I'm surprised. A lot of the rant liked Steele after his first year and wanted to keep him. I was never on the Steele bandwagon. To me, Aranda is the best hire of the Miles era.

Steele left clemson in january 2012. LINK

We played clemson in the peach/chikfila bowl in december 2012, when brent venables was the D coordinator. LINK
