re: I’m on Angel’s side but her recent “We’ll go to the Obamas” comment was unnecessary.

It's time to let it go, Angel.
You won the title, enjoy it.
Is it really worth it to continue this back and forth just to get more clicks.

That’s a lot of whining for a factual statement.

Iowa is 89% white, while being 3.7% black. Pretty appropriate to say if you prefer the way Clark handled it that Iowa would be more like minded.

LSU’s women’s basketball team has 12 players. 9-10 of those players are black. 2 are white. So yes, the majority of the team is black.

If you’re that sensitive at the term “Lilly white” or something similar like white as rice, then you should probably stay off a public forum.

I’m not “ashamed of myself” , only one of us is making this point strictly about race.

Pretty fair to assume the majority of LSU’s team supports Angel Reece. I do too. Does that make me “black as an ace of spades”?

disagree here. she kept the receipts for when jill biden's bracket predicted LSU not getting out of baton rouge much less winning the whole thing.

whole team is salty about it. and of course they'd rather visit the first black first lady over jill biden and uncle joe. do you blame her?

I just personally don’t see a problem with a young black female wanting to visit the first black president and First Lady. I’m sure to her that’s a big accomplishment and a life changing moment.

Jill Biden wanted to invite Clark and Iowa under the guise of “sportsmanship”. This is absolutely disrespectful to our team and unprecedented in US sports history.

This isn’t some small disrespect. This is a major slap in the face to the accomplishment of our team. So much so that her press secretary had to walk her statement back.

Absolutely, and I agree. However, that runs counter to the DEI narrative being shoved down everyone’s throat.

It's done got time for Kim to step in and talk to Angel before it's get to out of hand. Enough is enough. Let sleeping dogs go ahead to sleep!

You have to be able to separate it. The media turned this into a black vs white thing. It’s not. It’s two alpha competitors, one who broke a tournament record for points, the other who broke the single season double double record, being extremely competitive.

Both talk a lot of shite, it’s part of their game. Both of them seem to understand that with talking shite, you open yourself up to taking some back in situations just like these. Kudos to Clark for doing exactly what she’s supposed to in that situation, taking her L and putting the spotlight on Reese.

Reese heavily contributed to LSU’s title run. Her aggressiveness is part of her game, including trash talk. She won the natty so had every right. Both of them acted as they should have. To the winners goes the spoils. To the losers a cold and in your face plate of crow.

Then She could go visit them on her own time. When Has any past president Hosted a NC team after their championship? She didn't use the Obamas as a jab at the Biden's. If that were the case, she would have said Trump. She Didn't say That because she isn't Happy with the current admin. Clearly She see it as they "look like she does" Once again, Segregating herself and her Race from others. That's clearly Racist. and How does she speak for the team.

quote:

She's a racist? How? She's on her latest interview with Brandon Marshall talking about how she hated when people were calling Kim Mulkey racist and how much it pissed the team off.
She probably did get pissed at people calling her coach of a majority Black team racist. Doesn't men she docent have that Vitim Mentality that's been beat into her head her entire life and she is clearly displaying now.

quote:

If she were racist, she certainly would not have chosen to play for kim Mulkey, that’s for sure

She wants a championship. You will play for the best regardless how you feel on the inside. Its about the next step and getting you there. At the end its about you. If Hitler were a 4 time Super bowl winning coach, Kaepernick would go under center. You think if they found Pics of Saban at A Klan Rally kids would stop wanting to play for the Tide?

She may not be a racist, but as it was said earlier, Shes a product of her time. a time of the white boogie man the reason for all the problems with the black community and if something isn't your way, its clearly due to your skin. Wants to be exclusive and only for people that look like her but need the lighter sides money and knowledge to do that. I was backing her, But she really needs to stop as Im starting to loose respect for the girl as she is Cleary missing a chance to do the right thing but continues to draw a divide. Im not saying her actions were wrong or classless, Hell I understand. But her responses could have all been as a whole, Not a black on white thing. and she did that and continues to do so.

A lot of words to say Angel Reese is racist whenever Jill Biden started it.

She responded to Jill Biden, not southern whites.

Jill Biden saying she wants to invite Iowa is directly disrespectful to our National Champion Lady Tigers, so saying you want to visit a different First Lady and president is matching the same energy.

Agreed. I'd return the disrespect and just decline the visit.

Angel in her own words said "she did this for people who look like me". She also brought in the race factor.

Some of y’all are way too sensitive

It’s not uncommon for someone to reference they want to inspire people who look like them when they win a title.

This statement does not correlate with “I hate white people”

Stuff like that, it bothers me because you are a woman at the end of the day. White, Black, it doesn't matter, you're a woman, you're supposed to be standing behind us before anything."

I'm glad LSU won the title, but Reese needs to dial it back.

What does this last part even mean?

I guess I know what it means... Sign of the current culture. "Have my back" means "don't disagree with me; just affirm me."

That's not how real life adult relationships work, but oh well.

Disagree.

If Jill had said it before the game or said "we should start inviting both finalists" in the middle of the summer, it would be different. Or for that matter, if the opponent had been Delaware.

This came across as anti-LSU. She doesn't have any ties to Iowa that would make rooting for them legit. I don't see her saying it if Iowa wins. And inviting the runner up is unprecedented. I saw it as a diss too.

If they're going to snub us, we should respond in kind.

Are you surprised? She's classless.

The championship and resulting drool coverage over her will only make her more boisterous.

Im Not defending What the white house started and agree 100% that it was BS for the Idiot Dr to say, However Her saying "We will go to the Obamas " wasn't saying that they think they should visit the runner up as well. And my response was also to the statement that some could see her wanting to visit the first black president and first lady. That's what my "Visit them on her own time comment was referring to. She was clearly saying that due to it being they are black just like her other comments. IF she would have said, Well I think if Iowa gets invited to the White house as well in the spirit of sportsmanship, then we should both Go to Mar logo also. That would have been more tit for tat.

The way she has been carrying her self lately, He comments, and her actions is more in line with being delusional, disconnected from reality and living that "queen" life. I'm not one to say have more class. Hell I like to shove it in others face when they are overly cocky and we whip that arse. But the way she publicizes herself on social media, Talking like she is a 12 year old Hood rat and playing more into the victim mentality with the race card is getting ridicilious.

All he had to say was, This one is for all the people out there that are told they aren't good enough, or wont make it out of BR, or you guys aren't near as good as that Team from Iowa. This is for you. This shows that dedication, team work, and great coaching can overcome all. She could have said For Months we have watched the other team and their gestures of extra talk on the court. Well its not the same when its given back and you were a little to cocky. Nope. It was, "This is for all the girls who look like me" Its disgusting. The shots taken at her were not racial, It was sore loosers that weren't happy the outcome and didn't like it being shoved in their face. If Tom Brady would have done the same after the super bowl, He too would have been called classless. So I supported her and he actions until now. She really needs to just shut up
