might as well talk football - because what we are watching cannot be called a ball game- it is not even a good scrimmage right now

I agree, but I can live with it...if we are that much better next yr.

there's no gurantee this team is any good next year. better doesn't mean much considering the current state of affairs.

I am going to bed. This basketball program is totally unfricking acceptable. If this is what we are going to get the whole fricking season, then Trent Johnson can go coach some NAIA team. NO no no no...I don't think that I can stomach this shite. I hope your happy trent. good luck trent and Joe alleva...fill that arena with this shitty product.

Like Saban, Brady left and SEC Championship type team.
One or two key recruits could have kept it going.
He had Mitchel for an extra year. Where is the beef?

This is his first full recruiting class. He should have at least 5 years to build the program. Brady didn't leave shite.
5 years!?! I don't care who left what for him to Coach, and I say Coach very loosely because if the effort and fundamentals aren't there, then get a coach who can at least make the team look like they actually care about being on the court or in the building.
Last season and now this. A Coach Johnson team is now beginning to look suspiciously like a Coach Crowton Offensive Team.

Dale Brown took a bunch of kids with little talent, nicknamed them the hustlers and convinced them they could win
Call it coaching, motivation or leadership- it worked
Listen to TJ's post game comments tonight and there was not one word that sounded like coaching, motivation or leadership

I have not posted in quite a while due to coaching JUCO basketball in Texas now, but I never thought I would have saw the day where Lester would say this. I think I just had a little heart attack when I read this. Not just Josh White, but Langston Galloway and several others as well.

I agree! I was his teammate back in high school for a little while. He was a beast! He played his heart out and put more time into practice than everybody else. If only he was a little taller.....

Matt will be fine, just needs time to develop more. He will be ok. But Ludwig was a waste

what about the time he was 2nd team all-5A when he was just a sophomore?
Posted on 12/22/10 at 11:01 pm to Elleshoe
2nd team all 5a as a sophmore? What does that mean he played 1a ball, he is gonna be a decent player in his junior year hopefully, He should have red shirted cause he is not ready to play he looked like he was running in mud tonight. Ralston Turner is the only freshman who can play the rest of these kids are average at best.

it means when he was a sophomore in high school he was 2nd team all state in 5A. He played his first 2 years at Ponchatoula.

my bad. He is not showing much then, he looked outclassed tonight.

Well look who it is. Mr. College coach himself.

I can't lie. Watching White play last night, the first person I thought about was UNC.haha
Nothing I've seen of Ludwig makes me think he should be on scholorship at an SEC school.
Alot of people have way too high of expectations for some of these freshmen.
Derenbecker is going to be good, it just may take a year or 2.
Turner is going to be very good, he will just need to learn some things.
Stringer is going to be very good much like Turner.
In a few years, I think Courtney will be good as well.
I still think the light bulb will come on for this team at some point and they will be decent. With the SECW being down, I still see us winning 6-8 games and making the NIT. If they start learning to trust one another and trust their coach.
