They're all meaningless unless you're in the final 4. The attendance in recent years has shown that.

Absolutely agree I’ve said it for years. Everything else is an exhibition game with limited rosters. Certainly nothing to get upset about.

That’s a great way to sum it up. They weren’t ready. I can blame the game plan, but there was no intensity from the players.

Didn’t see much intensity from our coach either

Might want to pump the brakes on the bowl enthusiasm anyway. If last year is any indication, Kayshon and about half a dozen others were going to sit out anyway!

The Sugar Bowl is locked in to the highest ranked team not in the playoffs. Who wins the championship game is not the criteria.

The winner of the SEC Championship Game automatically qualifies for a spot in the Sugar Bowl if that team is not selected to participate in the four-team playoff. If the SEC Champion is selected to participate in the four-team playoff it will play in the Peach Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. The next highest-ranked SEC team not in the four-team playoff goes to the Sugar Bowl.

I understand the rules. Read the entire thread. I know a win in Atlanta means a big bowl. I’m pessimistic and don’t see that happening. This team could have sealed a NY6 bowl with a win last night and they blew it.

I thought if the SEC champion is in play off the runner up goes to Sugar Bowl.

Not correct. If LSU wins, then LSU will be in Sugar. If Georgia wins, then the highest ranked SEC team not in the CFP will be in Sugar. That would most likely be Alabama.

Dude all bowl games mean absolutely zero, it’s a glorified scrimmage outside the playoffs. Who fricking cares what bowl game we go to

That is one heck of an improvement over the Texas bowl with 39 scholarship players last year.

Won’t happen. Tigers ain’t beating UGa in Atlanta. It’s been a nice rebound season, but I don’t think that win is in the cards.
