OK, just checking. I graduated from undergrad in 1981 and thought I might know him (long shot). Congrats and good luck next year at LSU. It will be the time of your life. It will be twice as much fun as your dad admits to having! One piece of advice from an old guy: do your best to go to class. Good luck.

I read an article in the Reveille a while back and attendence at football games was down all around...not just students
58k at the Troy game
88k at the UGA game
63k at Appy St
those are the only games i remember from the article but the other games were low like that. UGA was the highest.

the students weren't all to blame...and that's what pisses me off. If attendence is bad at an LSU sporting event, it must be b/c the students didn't show up not b/c other fans didn't

Try going to class too! Hate to be the bummer but you'll go to more games by staying at least 4 years. I liked it so much I stayed 5.

Good luck and good decision.

a full scholarship, especially from out-of-state

Out of high school, you need a 3.0 and a 1330. I can't believe I'm taking the damn SAT again in January, but it will be worth the 20 grand (over 4 years) I'm adding to my scholarship if I get the 10 points.

I agree but in LSU's eyes who gives a frick about regular attendance because they already got their money.

They see the student section seats as potential money makers. Student seats especially reserved student seating with chair backs are cheap and the students dont show up. Although LSU gets their 18 they could get an extra $35 for SEC plus tradition/contribution funds.

LSU doesnt give a shite about atmosphere anymore its all about money.

Instead of having discounted tickets for basketball games to boost attendance they say frick it we'll still charge $11+ per ticket.

Do not major in engineering if you want to attend all sporting events!

Personally I think on the application they need to ask "Are you coming to LSU because of football?". Everyone that says yes is automically admitted and everyone that says no is not admitted. It would be very simple and effective.

Just got my acceptance to the LSU Honors College, so I thought it was time to finally start posting after years of lurking.
I'm so excited for next year

FWIW, I doubt I'm going to go to OSU. I'm just surprised that can get you a full ride anywhere, especially a decent school like LSU.

How hard is it to get a 1330 (wait, does that include writing or not)?

1330 used to be pretty solid score. Is it not anymore?

Well, they added writing a few years ago, so it's out of 2400 now. So I'm wondering if the 1330 includes the writing or not.
