I’m glad LSU won while we also learned why you pitch off

Evans, Anderson, and Eyanson this weekend and LSU was at home playing X box getting ready for next weekend tonight.

This is not a conclusive argument. If Evans had started yesterday, same result and everyone is still fully on schedule, which was the whole point of approaching that way.
Evans is firmly back in the 3rd starter role after today.
Damn I wish Cowan could get back on track. He hasn’t walked guys like that all season before today. Just just got raked when he struggled.

Agree with needing Cowan back on track. Wonder if Sourh Louisiana heat is affecting him?

There was more than enough run support for LSU to win three games with Evans on Friday, Anderson on Saturday, and Eyanson on Sunday.
It’s almost like pitching off which is something LSU has done every single regional except for 2001 before Jay got here works.

First off Evans I don't think was even in consideration to start game 1.
Secondly I disagree with this
Cowan ruined this. And Shores' outing this weekend didn't help. At this point Evans is our primary high leverage guy out of the pen. If Cowan and Shores could be counted on to secure a win then it would be great to have Evans as a 3rd starter but unfortunately Jay can't trust them like that right now

I’m not saying it doesn’t, but with the region we had on paper, it absolutely made sense to try and stay on schedule for next week. If we had won yesterday, then it would have set up perfectly.
There are other situations where I would be 100% in favor of pitching off.

If we make it to Omaha, Evans will start a game if we don’t go 2 and Q. It may be limited if he’s already pitched, but Jay isn’t going to trust Noot or Shores to again unless he has to because other are burned. He has true starter stuff and can work out of a jam.

I think they wanted Eyanson more rested going into next weekend.

Actually, the opposite.
If someone else had started Friday we well could have lost and been in a bind.

Then there is no reason to think it wouldn’t have worked with Eyason Friday Anderson Sat and Evans Sunday.

It’s like you are actually too stupid or too much of a troll to realize more than one strategy can work.
The goal is to get to Omaha and win there. We are one step closer to that sorry you lost your talking point that Johnson has only had the Supers once.

One step closer after having to use one of your aces twice in one weekend instead of being at home playing call of duty tonight.

Your obsession with Call of Duty may be unhealthy.

No because probably the first time I’ve ever posted those words on TD

You’re making the argument as if it wouldn’t have ended up the exact same if Evans just threw last night.

Considering he didn't pitch at all in Hoover, he should've been.

Or we are playing Rhode Island on Saturday after Evans gets replaced in a tight game and the UALR bats show up a day earlier than they did this weekend.

Either way Jay fricked up the pitching

That's a whole other debate. Jay outsmarted himself big time over these last two days with Noot and Cowan starting instead of Evans.
