I know that we are all tired of hearing about next year, but I feel that next year will be the first true year to turn the page from the Miles era. This year felt somewhat like an extension from last year based on the way it played out.

- It will be the 2nd year under Canada, we think.
- We'll have new QB play going forward
- Young skill players on offense and defense will have to step up
- Both lines of scrimmage and LB will have quality depth and experience
- Aranda.

This is no way excusing O's first year. This was his team throughout. I have no predictions on how next year will play out, but it just has a different feel imo. Next year will be a bigger tell on the future of the program.

Ending vs ND and starting vs Da U is pretty rad.

Canada won't be back and we utterly refused to get a young QB experience.

Other than that, there are certainly some positives. Unfortunately, it seems like same song different verse (great skill players, great defense, no QB, no offensive scheme designed to get good skill players the ball in space).

No "known" qb.

Many teams have seen first year starters step up and play great. Just because its something we here at LSU have not seen in basically forever does not mean it cant happen.

Why the frick would he need excuses?

He went 9-3 in his first year with a 1st year offensive coordinator, WR and RB's coach.

The played well over 30 true and redshirt freshmen.

He plays Notre Dame in a bowl game on New Year's Day.

Idiots sure have some weird perceptions when it comes to college football.

MSU blowout and Troy loss is what he is referring to. He meddled with the offense which caused the troy loss.

Definitely reasons to be optimistic, but we’ll also need a few things to break our way. We’ll really need Edwards-Bellaire to step up big, same with at least one of the WRs. Would also help if the juniors in the secondary decide to come back. If they do, our defense will be downright nasty (could be even if they don’t). Expecting big things from Chaisson and Delpit with a year under their belts

Did he meddle with the defense in that game also? Troy scored 24 points with 14 coming in the 2nd half.

LSU gave up 24 points to Ala-fricking-Bama.
LSU gave up 23 points to Auburn.
LSU gave up 21 points to TX A&M.

Eaux must have been coaching his arse off if he was running the offense and defense. Troy has a top 10 defense, they don't have a top 10 offense.

I prefaced this post by saying it felt like we are finally moving past the Miles era.

I didn't saying anything about O needing excuses. I simply said that I am not giving any credit to Miles for this year. This was O's team. The wins and the losses, however, to me, it just felt like an extension of last year in a way.

And to call me an idiot about college football is both ignorant and naive.

worst loss vs state ever. Losing to Troy. Meddling in offense thus leading to Troy loss. Getting beat by bama in a game we were never a threat to win. Just a few examples

The fact you have more down votes than Upvotes shows what a sad fan base Lsu has

Still doesn't excuse the defense giving up 24 points to Troy.

@ Miss St L 37-7
vs Syracuse W 35-26
vs Troy L 24-21

That was a very shitty 3 game stretch by the LSU defense. The only good thing is that other than these three games the most LSU gave up was 24 to both Bama and Ole Miss.

. Orgeron is the head coach. It falls on him that the team played like shite and LSU lost embarrassing losses

Lsu is on the right track I think. I’m gonna focus on winning 6 out of last 7. 6-2 sec record with 5 on the road. And like Rex said on NFL today when herbie and Pollack came on.. he said he’s a non bias coach and watching film the Sec is still the best conf and beat athletes. And Lsu went 6-2. Strong freshman class and O will finish strong with another good class. I think Lsu is in good hands with this staff

It's so obvious you are a fricking troll. Are you one of the Bama trolling ghost staff. I thought they would give you guys off on Sunday at least.
