Idk, we have a personnel and execution problem more so than a scheme problem IMO. Everyone on staff has been successful here before and I think they can be again.

Losing Stingley is about the worst possible scenario considering we played against Leach and veterans at wr and qb. Costello was pretty solid at Stanford and is very intelligent. He threw some super accurate balls. everyone who has turned on Brennan needs some perspective imo. I suggest listen to some of the post game analysis from guys who know the game and the program well. Tbob and the whiskey and whine crew broke it down well imo. Lots of factors that affected Myles.

All the smoke and even code red concerns that stood out in this game, I don't think Brennan becomes much better than he is now but our O will look better if his supporting cast collectively plays better.
If Stingley played in this game I think we win. He would've disrupted the rhythm of KJ and altered the play calling enough to tilt the game in our favor.
Also, I'm not ready to check out on Pelini just yet. His defensive philosophy and scheme can still dominate BUT you have to be able to play solid man coverage, obviously. Some of your better NFL defenses play with a similar scheme.
A lot of things have to improve to execute it the way it's intended.

W/o a spring and other pandemic issues, we were bound to have a tougher time. The teams that had way less attrition were clearly going to benefit more than the teams who did....since those teams would be more familiar with each other.

yea, but Miss State brought in a new coach, with a new system, and a new QB.

And they seemed to do ok.

I don't know Why LSU did not run the ball more. Taken the pressure off the QB ?

With veteran players and an extremely experienced QB.
If we clean up the yards after catch and actually execute our responsibilities on offense then we will be much, much better.

Burrow's first start was not great. Many forget how many passes last year's WR's dropped their first year. It will get better every week. Last year was a perfect storm. This is a very talented team with good coaches. We need to be patient and let them grow and develop.
