You ought to watch the game fellow middle-ager. First, use some beer. Second, use enough beer that you will be motivated to do something constructive if/when things are going badly: clean, take out the garbage, walk to the grocery, etc. But get a cheap Sony Walkman at K- or Wal- Mart with headphones to check in every few minutes. And remember, remember, remember, we will have no suspended players for the first time this year and Les Miles has TWO WEEKS to prepare.

Dude - Tape the game. wait - Start watching about 40 minutes after the game starts. Zip thru the commercials and all of the Musburger crap. You'll catch up. Not having dead periods to worry you won't get stressed. This will work.

Its not every year that you get to see a #1 vs #2 match up from the same conference and involves the LSU Tigers being in the game.Watch it!

I'm in grad school in Italy, which means the game will start here at 2AM during a weekend right before midterms start. If I am awake at that time I should be studying, but the truth is, I wouldn't be able to sleep or study from 2AM-5AM knowing the game is going on. I will be glued to justintv and getting pissed if/when the stream craps out.

In other words, man up.

You need drugs to be constructive in a bad state of mind.

Beer will only push you deeper in the depths.

Dude,

I'm 67 and I'll be in T-town at my tailgate by 7 a.m.m drinking 100-proof Cap'n & Coke by 8 a.m., eating my wife's gumbo by 11:30, and in the stadium by 6 p.m. C'mon brother. Step up. We need ya.

Watch the game and dont stress over it so much. Win or lose the world isnt coming to an end based on the outcome.

good lawd some people on this board are crazy. Not watching the game, not eating, WTF??

When did LSU fans become such pussies? Its a game, meant for enjoyment. If you can't enjoy it, then go back in your basement and play world of witchcraft on your computer all day. The rest of productive society will be out socializing and acting like real human beings enjoying themselves.

Put a sports spin on this and take out the romanticism and this is what you should remember:

quote:

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

I'll be in California that day for work! I'm DVRing it at home, but will be trying to find a place to watch! I think it would be just as stressful just watching the score as it would watching the game.

Alright ths is what you do. Place an enormous bet on the Tide, say $500. This is a hedge against the devastation of a Tiger loss. If Bama wins, the pain is eased by a nice return. If the Tigers win, It was worth the money an investment in a potential NC.

That, my friend, is effing genius.

Look,

There's no way I could not watch the game. But I really do feel like I would rather not go through the stress. I suppose though, it's not the stress of the game its self, it's the gawd damn 2 weeks before I can watch it.

I wished I knew a doc who would fix me up with some valium.
