I'm as excited as the next guy about TM7 next year but, and a big BUT....

is we haven't seen him cover a #1 WR yet so we should really cool it a bit with all the "shut down corner" talk. He did get beat a few times last year for TDs and that was by a team's #3 or 4..... remember that?

I am not sure where you are getting that he will be a shut down corner. I don't think he will be played at that position. He will be a safety when it is all said and done.

Mo Claiborne is our #1 CB. e'll take the big guys. And Tharold Simon could easily be #2.
It's very possible they keep him at the nickel. I would.

This is what is going to happen next year. Not saying he can't do it but he's not going to be asked to. He's going to be a disturbance in everyone else's force

Go read the "TM7" thread. A lot of people hold a special place in their heart for TM, as do I, but the best spot for him on the field may just be that nickel spot he played last year. It let him roam a bit and make plays. Put him at CB and he only has one job to do. I'd rather him in the middle of the field.

I think its amazing how homoerotic a guy changing his number can be. "OMG T-REX/LBOH/INSERT NEW GAY NICKNAME CHANGED HIS # TO PP7'S OLD #!!!!!!!! I CAN HARDLY CONTAIN MYSELF!!"
There must have been at least 5 threads about the kid since it was originally posted yesterday. I could imagine a similar reaction from a group of girls if Bieber dyed his hair blonde.

The guy was shutting down EVERY WR he faced at the camps he attended prior to his freshman year. I have zero doubt that he could be a shutdown corner. But I also like him roaming around...and just being a pain in the arse all over the field.

Yah I like him where hes at where he can attack the ball in multiple ways not just at corner......Mo clai and simon on the sides........If chavis has him at corner teams can take him out of the game like they did to pp7......keep ty where he is and teams have to account for him every play....kid ball hungry...always stripping the ball away...best ive seen in a while

I have a feeling Tyrann will remain at Nickle with Simon and Claiborne at CB, Taylor and Reid at safeties, and Loston at the Dime

And I have a feeling they'll get him in the game as much as possible. Maybe it was selective watching on my part, but does anyone else remember all the fumbles, sacks, and interceptions he caused/made? For not being a starter, I fondly remember sitting/jumping around and thinking to myself, "Motherf*#@er, that guy is ridiculous!"
Once he improves his coverage a tad, he is going to be even more funner to watch.

Only times I remember getting beat was when he tripped and on a great call with a double move on fourth and short.
I like him at nickel but a true freshmen getting beat a few times is no big deal. He will learn like Peterson did about being too agressive with no help over the top is risky.

Mathieu will probably be used the same way he was last season.

I still think he shouldn't be locked on to one guy all game. He needs to be used just like last year. Attacking from all over the field.

The best way to see if he can be a number 1 CB is to throw him out there on the island and see what happens

HOW ABOUT YOU SHUT THE HELL UP! LBOH7 is the second coming of neon deion, with the exception that he likes to tackle and make big hits
