Let's dig deeper. Since LSU last won a title in Football, 3 other sec programs have won it. Since LSU last won a title in baseball, two other sec programs have won it. Very similar.

Sorry but some of the freshmen need to take a seat for a few weeks to regroup.
If Romero's shoulder is healed enough for him to play catcher in mid-week games, he should be catching every game except Friday starts (Lange).

So you'd be happy with San Diego State or Utah's football programs? Because they were ranked in the final top 25 last season in a sport that's MUCH more competitive than college baseball.

Never said anything to suggest this. My statement was simply saying the results aren't mediocre.

The last 5 years of LSU football was slightly above .500 in conference play while baseball is the only school to have a national seed each year. Won an SEC title and was eliminated by the National Champs last year. IMO, the two aren't comparable. If the baseball results aren't good enough for fans, that's fine, I understand wanting more. My point isn't that I'm satisfied with baseball, but that the past 5 years have been much better than football.

Oh yeah, in 2011 LSU went undefeated and played in the national title game. When was the last time baseball did that? The sports aren't comparable, but the end game is the same.
Last I checked 2009 came before 2011.

Pretty sure I was specific and said the past 5 years. Miles was fired for his results over the past 5 years. When people compare Mainieri to Miles, it needs to be on why Miles was fired.
Also, bringing up the 2011 football team doesn't make any sense to me. They were not champions. If people say just getting to the CWS isn't good enough for Mainieri, then just getting to the Championship game (getting utterly embarrased) for the football team shouldn't be a basis for your comparison.
