I tell them:
it's ok to lose. Football isn't for everybody. Just do your best and have fun. Just don't get hurt. It is ok to be scared. If you are scared of the guy lined up across from you, just tell us coaches and we will let someone else play or talk to Bama's coach and ask if they can take that guy out a few plays so you can play some. Every player here is already a champion. Maybe not in football but a champion at something. So go out there and try to make some new friends. Don't even look at the scoreboard because this game isn't about that. We are all winners. Don't be ashamed when you lose, cry or shite on yourself. Keep your head up and let's go have fun and play some ball guys!

Tell the offense to focus on the umpire and that a few plays will be umpire "friendly"
