I looked at the game last night on DVR and it was not as bad as it looked live. I feel a bit better but there is work to do.

Exactly what I was thinking, which is pretty much the biggest concern of most fans. It was pretty obvious our defense was...uh...pretty bad.

Davie's comments were good and he is credible. At least he did not say Notre Dame will be in the NC game.

I watched the game last night. It was definitely not as bad as it seemed, based on what I witnessed from the equivalent distance of a seat in Bernie Moore.
We've still got what appear to be the same problems on defense though - little QB pressure and weak zone coverage. "Patterson" and "Cuterra" looked stout. Hopefully it's just first game stuff though. ASU destroyed the 2005 defense and that turned out to be a pretty damn good season.
My favorite part of the game was JJ's poise with the Huskies within a TD fairly late in the 4Q. Good KW runs and nice to see LaFell get involved.

good start, but he doesn't fully understand a lot of our fans. we certainly could add insecurity and "know it all syndrome" as well; you know, the vast quality of experience one obtains from playing football video games.

If you're an LSU fan, don't overreact if you thought this game would be a lot more of a blowout than it is. Because this Washington team with the energy generated by the new staff and young talent.
But raising questions about clock management, plus pointing out the lack of a pass rush and poor tackling that were trademarks of our shitty defense last year is not overreacting.
