He was great everywhere where the HC let him run his offense, wonder what was different here?

It's got to be more than that though. If O proves you wrong, you've got to do something like root for Bama for a year or something horribly humiliating and degrading like that.

I support whoever is the coach and his staff whether I agree with the hire or not for 2 reasons
1. Don’t want other schools to beat LSU, I still want US TO WIN!!
2. I choose to support the young men who choose to come play here and I want them to be successful and not regret their decision to be here.

You guys on the other hand, are so selfish you would rather be “right” than LSU do well. Do you want those young men and their families to be regretful of their decision? I say shame on you for being so self centered in your thoughts n

Embarrassing bowl performance

Losing to a top 15 team by 4 in a bowl game that really doesn't matter is far from embarrassing. Some of y'all are such drama queens

Open your eyes. Good god. We hired a head coach no one wants and then hired a TE coach to be OC who hasn't been a full time OC in college since before many of our players were born.

I think you evaluate a coach on the performance of his program. A 9-3 regular season, with a 6-2 record in the SEC is acceptable performance in the first year of inheriting a program that had depth and injury issues on both lines. If you see improvement from there, you keep him, if you don’t, you fire him. It’s utterly ridiculous to fire someone after 1 season, when your primary reason is you didn’t like a coordinator hire. Quite simply, if you want good people to work for you, they need to know they will be given the opportunity to be evaluated rationally and on their own merit.

Good post.
People need to admire the fact that an entirely new Offense was installed and when it came in a mere 54th in America O was not satisfied with that. He has made changes and we need to trust it will get better. Ensminger HAS a track record as OC at LSU and a good one at that.
Rantards would whine less about seeing Canada retained with a poor performing Offense than an effort made to improve it.

Wow OP, you sure started a feel good fest in here.

Let’s all sing Kum-ba-ya every season after losing 4-7 games and it won’t be a problem.

Don’t know if I like him as coach but I’ll support the heck out of him and my Tigers.

Orgeron knows more about football than I ever will and he’s good with players. I hope that he’s learned a lot in his time as head coach, we need him to be a good decision maker.

CSE was great with the same offense that sputtered under Miles, maybe he’ll be even better with his own system in place. It’s a risk but O has no excuses now, it’s his staff.

we lost a close one to a good Notre Dame team
WE should have won that game.

Lost a great OC to promote a TE coach.

are you seriously taking about Canada being a great one. He was part of the problem especially early in the year when the offense didn't seem to have a grasp on his offense and looked very tentative, were committing stupid penalties and just weren't very efficient.

The longer Ed Orgeron is at LSU the longer it will take for LSU to get back to national relevance

Well your old baw of a head coach hired him and then fired him for 1.7 million. Looks like he should do a better job vetting

I've been rooting for LSU all of my life, the Archer, Hallman eras and the last 6 years have been humiliating and degrading enough. I've got tons of equity built up!

Really?
The SEC was 3-1 (one loss to an SEC team) in the College Football playoffs. How many other conferences won a game there? Playoffs matter
