B, people saying he needs to pick up the cb blitz are crazy. The db disguised it perfectly. he showed man, once the snap he blitzed. no one would have picked that up

...WR made the signal for CB blitz......he's even openly stated he missed it.

If jarrett lee had put up those numbers, the rant would have given him an A. But since mett is supposed to be Jesus, throwing for under 250 yards and 3 TDs is unacceptable

If C represents an average performance and A an exceptional performance, I might give him a C+ or a B-.

What would you give him?

I'd give him probably a B+ or A- for his throws and a B- or C+ for his reads of the defense, particularly the pass rush/blitz/stunts/etc. For his general game management, like not getting a lot of delay of game penalties or false starts resulting from inconsistency in his counts, having to take unnecessary time outs, etc., I'd give him probably an A.

Overall, a solid B+.

B- seems fair. Maybe C+.

anyone else notice how fast the plays were coming out and the offense was getting to the line? I didn't really notice it until I was watching the replay at home and the DVR "fwd 30 seconds" button kept putting me in the middle of the next play.

I'm giving a C+ Room for improvement but definitely giving glimmers of being rock solid and talented.

Way better than last year. At least he hit some guys in stride...loved that.

Speaking of his INT. Why wasnt that reviewed? Sure did look like the way he was falling that the ball hit the ground

I wondered the same thing. On the first (and I believe only) replay it appeared to me that he may not have clearly had possession of the ball before it hit the ground. IIRC, he was just kinda clutching at the nose of the ball when his arm and the ball hit the ground at the same time. But neither the refs nor the Tigers seemed to give a shite.

Oh, and I'd give Mett a solid B, with some improvement needed.

C not great, but not bad. Won't really know how he is developing until we enter SEC play.

You don't have a clue as to what you're talking about then

I didn't mean it as a knock on Met just bored with offense.

C-

He has tunnel vision! He can't see the blitz coming and he didn't look off any defenders. As soon as he got the ball he was locked in on the reciever that he was going to. I think he will be lucky if he stays healthy the whole season and doesn't get his head knocked off in the backfield.

I would say a B...

Mett made some very nice throws, but the receiving corps also made some really nice grabs... you can kind of see what E Reid was referring to when he talked about how frustrating practice is now for the DBs.

If it wasn't for the fact the receivers made some really athletic plays on the ball, I would have the grade a little higher.

That's a you problem.

POUND POUND POUND the defense in submission until they can't take Blue and Hilliard anymore. Let them stack the box. Dare them to stack the box.

I give him a B simply for stepping into every throw he made...he is fearless. Maybe he was a little off the back foot on the INT..but he doesn't get rattled. He is a big time leader on and off the field.
