For a home game to go to this year which would you choose and why ?

Told my stepson I’d take him to at least one really good home game this year and he’s leaning Clemson and I’m leaning Texas. Kinda torn here. I will def wait til all the tix drop bc I don’t think the get in the door price will be 200$ for those games when it’s 1-2 weeks out but I could be wrong. Thanks in advance and Geaux Tigers

Texas and it’s not even close. The Texas game has so much more potential to be an enjoyable, meaningful, and exciting atmosphere and game.

I’d personally choose Clemson just for that first home game. gameday. Night game. Unknown what we really have as a team. Unbridled excitement.

Don’t get me wrong, Texas will be awesome too, but it has been way too long since a premier opening home game. Virginia Tech?

Can't go wrong with either, but I'd lean Texas (what's potentially on the line, weather, weather).

Yeah this wouldn’t even be a question if Clemson wasn’t the opener and a first hyped up live look at a new era of LSU football. And also seems like a better chance for a win although I think once we get our chemistry we will be able to rumble and beat anyone in the country. Our roster is very good.

Colin Simmons vs Weston Davis is not a battle you want to see

Go to Clemson

Opening game, after coaching and player overhaul vs quality opponent. Clemson will be a fun one.

Texas should also be great but you have to see how the season plays out.

Do Clemson and then decide if you also want to do Texas.

When you combine season/home opener, first game under Kiffin, roster overhaul, out of conference opponent, etc. I feel like September 5th has the potential to be an all timer

Texas

In addition to the weather being unpredictable...could be brutally hot, or pouring down rain, or both, Clemson has lost some of its luster over the past few seasons. I haven't seen many, if any projected polls that have them in the top 25 to start the season. Plus, even there is more of a sense of connection/rivalry with Texas as a border state. That's not the case with Clemson.

The only downside it is impossible to project the records of LSU and Texas so far in advance. It could be a #1 vs. #2 matchup. Or one, or both, teams could be largely out of the CFP picture by that time. We can't know. With Clemson there is certainty. Both teams will be 0-0.

Yeah I’m even more torn now. Lol. That opener with new everything is super enticing.

God that was a fun game to see live. Pure domination from start to finish in all phases of the game.

I'd go to Clemson.

Night game, opener, season excitement, more likely to win.

True, but I will always pick November over September and I like the matchup vs UT/Arch Manning better

All of these things you listed are great, but pale in comparison to having a top 10 matchup in November.

Clemson.

Texas is in mid November. You never know how the season will play out for both teams.

Im not a believe in the Texas hype. If Arch gets off to another slow start, they could easily be 6-3 (L= OSU, Okla, Ole Miss) and out of the playoff conversation that weekend.
