Hmmm.....
Josh Reed
LaRon Landry
For me, it's out of those two.

why? ANOTHER short WR?? we have 4 of them already…

why? ANOTHER safety that's a coverage liability, that's always looking for the knock out hit rather than wrapping up on the tackle?? we have 3 of them already….
the only position we NEED a quality starter at, on the 2012 LSU Tigers squad is QB, so if i can only pick one, i'm going with Rohan Davey….

As I was watching the highlights from the 2002 Sugar I was reminded how huge Rohan's arm was, freakin cannon that kid has.

Bring Ruben back for that red zone wideout

Here's a really different choice that nobody will pick.
Todd Kinchen.
TK was a really tough possession receiver that ran great routes and caught EVERYTHING thrown to him. Tough to bring down after the catch too. A Wes Welker type that LSU/Mettenburger could really use right now.

Hmmm, maybe because he won the Biletnikoff and was a stud WR.

why?
And he laid out a ton of people.
These are my personal two choices. The neat thing is that you can disagree with it.
Does it bother you that much that you had to post your disagreement?
It's a hypothetical question and will never happen so, sometimes it's fun to just play along and not get all wrapped up in it and defend it like it's going to happen tomorrow.

Mawae, Andolsek, or Faneca

no, not at all, but evidently it does bother YOU….
yeah, Reed won the Biletnikoff… but considering we need a big receiver, i don't understand going with another small receiver, accolades or not…. yeah, it's your opinion, i get it…. it just doesn't make any sense to me, so i was pointing out WHY it doesn't make any sense….
just like the 1st amendment, you are free to speak your opinion here… however, just because you are free to voice it doesn't mean you are free from repercussion of that act…. i don't think i "beat you up" over it, but even if someone would dismantle your opinion, you shouldn't act surprised…. they would only be giving their "opinion" of why you shouldn't have the opinion you do….

btw, who was the guy you mentioned sits in 213? is he a newscaster or something?

You must not have read the thread.
Also, to all the people naming a QB. Everyone of those guys had receivers that dropped balls and made some bad throws. Matt Mauck was an interception machine, and people were calling for Flynn to be yanked midway through 2007.
If LSU needs help on O, it has to be a big tall receiver. Someone that can stretch the field. Like Bowe. Just my two cents.

Has Michael Brooks been mentioned? Dude was a beast.
Before my time but Casanova was a 3 time all American.

How about a new twist:
Robert Royal, a bad arse TE couldnt hurt either.

You must be too young for Hodson. He threw the most catchable ball I've ever seen. If we had him for 4 years with the surrounding talent we would win 2-3 NC's

Yea, I don't have any memories as a baby.
Even then, the first QB I can remember watching was Jamie Howard.
I'm not saying a GOAT LSU QB would be a bad choice. I just don't think Mett is the weak link. A go to receiver/TE would be huge. Preferably a big target which is why I would not recommend Reed.

Rohan Davey was only named once?
This. Davey and it's not even close. Any non-qb player would be a positional upgrade, but a stud qb and a coach who utilized him correctly would make us unbeatable.
