If you can only beat Nicholls by six, you aren't going to beat Texas Southern

Texas Southern is a better team than Nicholls Stste. There was only a little chance that LSU would have beaten Texas Southern on Saturday had Texas Southern been able to play.

Now, if LSU's problem is that they play down to the competition, then perhaps they would have played a better game against Texas Southern and won anyway.

The Tigers have way too much talent to have close games with lower tier schools.

The transitive property in sports is a fallacy

Even more so in sports with a lot of games.

“We won a basketball game therefore we can’t win a different basketball game” isn’t a coherent logical argument you doofus

"Playing down to the competition" was a poor word choice on my part.

I think this team has so much talent that they believe that they can win these games on talent alone. This type of confidence is good, but it also leads to close games that should not have been close.

It certainly wasn't pretty.
There are lots of frosh on this team that really needed ooc to figure each other out, that stuff just takes time.
This team has had two practices in the past two weeks?
Does that count for anything?
Thank goodness it was Nicholls st.
Thank goodness we got this game in before SEC play.
We will have Javonte back.
Team will get better with court time as season *hopefully* progresses.
We need to crash the boards better and I'm just not going to mention defense.
What do you recommend? Fire WW and rehire JJ amirite?

I think the LSU Tigers have the talent to make a deep run.

I worry about COVID cancellations being a disruption all through the season.

It's more worrisome than the defense unfortunately.

That Texas Southern cancellation must've been especially painful for you.

Did you watch the game? Smart was out, Lsu was coming off a long break, and lot's of new players were getting minutes. It was a good time to play NSU. Regardless, Wade will be pissed over poor ft shooting, sloppy ball control, getting out rebounded and letting NSU shoot nearly 50% from the floor.

I think 14 day layoff, missing your point guard, had more to do with it than anything. You had 2 true freshman guards running the show vs a team with 8 d-1transfers. They never trailed.
I wouldn’t be too concerned, oh and get that cum off your chin!
