Then you probably have only been a fan of lsu since they started winning bcs titles. LSU vs aTm used to be a big time rivalry and a great game to be at. I can't stand those fig aggies more than the vandys, kentuckys of the sec. I personally wish we'd play a home and home with them every year again over playing west Virginia and Oregon in Dallas.

I'll be fired up for this game if we do in fact get to beat down these clowns!! Geaux tigers!!

IDC who LSU plays, or even where they play.

As long as they win.

I used to pull for TAMU when I lived in H-TOWN b/c of the constant arse Whipping you took after you fired a coach that averaged 9 wins a year. However, it is peolpe like you that remind me of my college days in the 80's at LSU when we whipped your arse at Kyle Field and in BR. Can't wait for this if it happens.
BTW - You know what a Midget is?

There is no difference in money to LSU between the Cap1 and Cotton.

quote:

The clear financial favorite seems to be the Capital One Bowl, with a sleek payout of $4.3 million, slightly ahead of the $3.6 million from the Cotton Bowl. But payouts are often misconstrued, as total revenue from all the SEC bowl games is totaled and then redistributed.

"All the money goes to the conference," Ausberry said. "There is no difference in money. People get caught up in that too much. Most people think it's more money."

Doesn"t Matter to me. i want to go to FLA. It is a better Bowl and we would play a higher ranked opponent. I hate the fact that we have to settle for this shite being tied for second in the conference.

I'm sorry, but I certainly disagree that we are "settling for this shite."

Cotton Bowl is a great bowl, arguably a better bowl than the Capital One. Certainly it is historically a better bowl than the Capital One Bowl.

In every article you read the Cap 1 is always listed as the "Best" bowl outside of the BCS. Why should we "settle" for TAMU is my issue? yes they won a few in a row against 1 ranked opponent without its best player. TAMU scored 9 points in that game. Neb was in it in spite of their garbage offense.
I call being pitted with a 19 and we are a 10 as settling. Where Bammer gets a shot at 7. IF we win, we still could get jumped in the final BCS rankings by Bammer if they were to upset Michigan State.
Of course all of this is irrelevent if SC beats AU tomorrow. We would all be shifting again and Arky would likely get the Cotton.

Yes it is. The reason is it pays more than any other non-BCS bowl.

Yes, I do. Do you have tickets yet?

We'll be in Lot 11. As I said on another thread, I'll post a map of where we'll be tailgating. I welcome any LSU fans. I can appreciate a passionate fanbase who loves to tailgate!

Even still. If I consider aTm to be such a big rivalry, why wouldn't I consider them to be any different than Ole Miss? I don't really get excited to play Ole Miss because they've been so irrelavant for so many years. The same can be said of aTm. I will grant that they were good rivals of ours in the 80's and 90's and I was around then but I'm just not understanding what you all see in this matchup that gets your blood pumping so.

Growing up going to LSU games I always considered A&M our biggest rival. I can't really remember any team I wanted LSU to beat more year in and year out. Of course that probably has to do with my dad cheering loudest against A&M. I also remember hearing all of the "aggie jokes" growing up. Besides maybe "go to hell ole miss go to hell" I don't remember that with any other team / fanbase. I would love for the yearly game to be renewed. Just my .02

Thanks, will drop by if we get to the game. We have not gotten tix yet. Still may have scheduling conflicts, but trying to work that out.
