so was the state loss or Troy loss worse?

Jimbo lost 63-20 last year...can you imagine if that happened to LSU

you do realize the fans had frick all to do with that right? the optics of lsu firing and paying huge buyout during state budget talks was the reason for that. they even told us that

"They" got you. The optics could have been changed so easily with a statement during the firing that TAF paid all the buyout....also did the state's budget fix itslef in less than a year?

Now if you told me the coach we replaced Miles with will go .500 and we won’t make Bowl games I would keep Miles...here is the kicker...you can’t! No matter how bad the hire is you can’t predict the future and say definitively the next coach won’t be as successful as the previous coach

using this logic it doesmt matter to you if lsu hires a coach that was 4-45 or a coach that was 45-4.

its telling that your posts have unprovoked personal attacks in everyone of them.

Can the guy complete on full season before you denounce his entire body of work here?

this season is his entire body of work here. in fact we wont play a schedule this easy for the foreseeable future and he had 2 historic losses in a season where HE PROCLAIMED LSU TO BE A PLAYOFF TEAM. and no not every coach publicly proclaims his team a playoff team.

quote:

I'm not going through Miles body of work to look for a similar season because that is not fair to him nor is it O's fault that these teams dropped as many games as they did. But, I'm confident Miles would have had 3 losses or more this year.

opinion. facts show miles never lost to a mid major. facts show no coach in the 100+ year history of lsu vs msu had such a bad loss.

and yes miles did have bad seasons. but he also had elite seasons. something ed orgeron has never had

I appreciate the dissent, but patience will prevail, so there's no point in arguing now. Ed O will get slaughtered next season. It already hurts so good.

Based on the past you can guarantee the future? I can’t

I do know that me incessantly crying about a hire I had absolutely nothing to do with will not change anything though

the fact that you cant see your own stances shite on your arguments of firing miles is cute.

you clearly could see the future of the program under miles but now that its a coach you like but has a questionable coaching history, we cant know the future.

just one of many times you apply logic to a certain coach and not the other.

I pretty sure that O proved that already but.....ok???

he has won more than 2 conf games a head coach 1 time. try to keep up lil guy

He was hired last season after doing it. He did it again this season. Miles was fired and is not coming back.

im talking about how you deem OBJECTIVE FACTS about Miles as defending miles.

I'm not taking anything away from Miles or his accomplishments. He earned that. It was time for him to go. Had he not been fired last season, he would have been fired this season.

your football ignorant opinion is proven to be ignorant

Not sure where you have proven this to be true. Are you having a stroke??

I WON'T EVER GET UPSET OVER FACTS BECAUSE FACTS ARE REALITY.

FACT: Miles was fired 15 months ago. Let it go man!
FACT: O went 9-3 regardless of how shitty all the team records are that you say graciously provided. He won 9 games.
FACT: He has the team playing in the Citrus Bowl in back-to-back season.
FACT: Miles has not been hired to coach any other teams despite ALL of his success at previous stops.

You need to learn the difference is building and maintaining

Maintaining a program entails employing a rare skill set, a skill set that's not very common at all or else the same teams since the beginning of college football would still be successful today without a break in performance.

So you unwittingly paid Miles a huge compliment in your attempt to dismiss or minimize what he did for LSU.

cool. with playoff talent. HIS
WORDS
quote:

FACT: He has the team playing in the Citrus Bowl in back-to-back season.

this is his 1st season as lsu's head coach. this is the 1st season he was allowed to make long term decisions at lsu

FACT: Miles has not been hired to coach any other teams despite ALL of his success at previous stops.

he would be the oldest coach hired in a decade. the average age of a p5 coach is 44.

no facts are reality. im sorry that facts that paint lsu in a positive light upset you. maybe you should find a safe space when i post FACTS THAT YOU DONT LIKE.

whats laighable is they really believe buidling a program is harder than maintaining one.

which is harder to do?

win 13 games once or average 10 wins over a decade?

whats harder to do? have 3 top 5 classes or have 11 years averaging top 5 classes.

Thats whats made Saban's run so specialn he has maintained an elite program at bama for a decade.

OPINION. You idiots need to be called out for being idiots.

quote:

HE PROCLAIMED LSU TO BE A PLAYOFF TEAM

We were still in running to be a playoff team until the Bama loss. Why would you not want to publicly announce it if you have the team believing it?

quote:

opinion. facts show miles never lost to a mid major. facts show no coach in the 100+ year history of lsu vs msu had such a bad loss.

Ok. You always want to go resume v. resume, why? Miles has about a decade or more experience. I stated that Miles would have had 3 losses.
FACT: I based my prediction on the FACT that he averaged 3 losses in the SEC per season.

quote:

and yes miles did have bad seasons. but he also had elite seasons. something ed orgeron has never had

Ok. So, bad seasons happen to good coaches. NOTED. Miles is gone....get over it, lil' man.

You defend his honor and resume. None of which is helping his case, he was fired 15 months ago. It was his time to go fella. Why is this so hard for you??

I post plenty about the game of football. You post rubbish. But, I do admire your loyalty to Les. You should go mow his lawn for him.

I don't have any feelings.

The rest of your post was rubbish and doesn't warrant being quoted.
