If we don’t win the SEC, let Nuss and Howard split the bowl game

It’ll likely be against a pretty mediocre team in the Cap1 or whatever. Letting these two split the practice reps and game would be an extraordinarily valuable evaluation tool to hit the ground running for 2023.
We know what we’ve got in JD - let him try to win the SEC, and if he does, the Sugar Bowl.
If not, the mid-tier bowl practices and game provide a much better audition for next year than any spring game ever could.

The receivers had plenty of chances and OF COURSE YOUR RUNNING QB IS GOING TO HAVE MORE YARDS THAN THE 4 RUNNING BACKS WHO ARE SPLITTING TIME ON TGE FIELD. THE RUNNING QB IS THE ONLY ONE THAT’S ALWAYS ON THE FIELD FOR EVERY PLAY. Think man, think.

Nuss and Howard will have spring and fall practice to try to pass JD on the depth chart. That is plenty of time. Just to be clear, I am not predicting that will happen. I just want to play the QB who gives us the best chance to win in the bowl game, not treat it as a practice or a test for the backup QB's.
