If Wade admits to violations, and is sanctioned in some fashion, can he come back?

Does the admin want him back?

Let it go. There is zero chance Wade ever coaches at LSU again and I hate it.

No, it obvious that the Administration wants Wade gone.

Lol they are already trying to set him up to be fired.

Why would he want to?
LSU is trying to hang him on this. He’s gone no matter what happens.

He is not coming back. LSU is in full money mode trying their best to avoid paying a buyout. They haven’t fired him yet because he has not been charged with any wrongdoing.

Its a fkn witch hunt by his own people.

From what I read yesterday, it sounded like LSU might let Wade coach again this year if he came out with a firm denial. I don't understand why he wont just come out and give them a firm denial. If he's cleared everything is good, if he's not cleared his career is going to take a hit anyway. I don't see how that lie to LSU would tank him much further than the scandal will.
Can someone explain the harm in him denying all of this to the university, if that would truly let him coach agin?

Anything you say can be picked apart.

Suspend him for a year (paid) and regroup the next year.

Calipari got busted at two separate institutions and he’s still chugging along
Wade will prob take a year or two off and come back to coaching; unfortunately it won’t be here

The replies to this thread are mostly ridiculous. Nobody knows what the outcome of the trial will be, or what testimony or evidence the NCAA might or might not get their hands on, so nobody can intelligently answer the question.
The administrators' job is to act in the best interests of the school, and they don't know what that is at this point. LSU would have no reason to fire a good coach. If this thing turns out to be a bunch of hot air, or even just a minor ding, then he would be able to come back. If he committed a major infraction or more, then he will be fired.
Conspiracy theorists can go vomit their shite all over themselves.

I’m no lawyer and not trying to argue with anyone. I just don’t see how him telling Alleva “I didn’t do anything wrong” would hurt him legally. Nothing criminal, he wouldn’t be under oath or lying to the FBI, he’s just lying to his employer. If it is proven to be a false statement down the road, he’s screwed anyway. If nothing sticks, he rides with the statement and continues to coach.
