if you would read any of the previous posts, it's not fearing the opponent. It is simply lack of respect for Bama's argument. They've had their chance at home and simply couldn't handle the moment. Why should they be rewarded again when they pissed it away last time? In my opinion their reward was to not fall far in the polls. They are the best opponent, but they are also just another W on lsu's flawless transcript.

Since they say that the college football season is the beginning of the playoff, then head to heads should count.

But no. If LSU beats Arky, then we get penalized by the SEC for having to play UGA, while Bama's ticket is punched, already.

Is that how you reward the team that won the game of the century?

I agree 100000%

It just goes against logic

With that said, I am confident LSU will beat Alabama again...this time more convincingly

I think Ok. State wins out and takes the spot. They lost in OT, and the computers love them. Do I think Bama's better? Yes. But the media will pick a one-loss conference champion Ok. State over a one-loss Bama because the country would QQ until next year.

Just one problem with Okie State.

They don't bolster computers or voters since they don't have a BIG 12 Cship Game anymore.

They'll still have a win over likely #7 ranked OU vs. Bama beating Auburn

It's irrelevant. The biggest part about a conf. championship game is that you are playing that last day. That is why the B10 and P10 teams smarted up and changed their scheduling a couple years ago. It is a de facto CCG anyway.

I know, but we should not have to play a 2 loss east team thats not even 3rd best in the conference. It's the way it goes, though.

Anyone think Texas and Okie wanted it this way so they wouldn't get "Bob Stooped" at the end of the season.....again and again? He has a problem focusing on the finish.

ASSuming LSU does too. Will they take V-tech(ACC champ) over a one loss Bama?

Nope...I'm not a betting man but I would bet on this scenario not happening...

I doubt it. Absolutely pathetic that they couldn't go undefeated against this schedule:

Appalachian State W, 66-13
at East Carolina W, 17-10
Arkansas State W, 26-7
at Marshall W, 30-10
Clemson * L, 3-23
Miami * W, 38-35
at Wake Forest * W, 38-17
Boston College * W, 30-14
at Duke * W, 14-10
at #20 Georgia Tech * W, 37-26
North Carolina * W, 24-21
at #24 Virginia * 3:30 p.m.
ACC Championship

14-10 at Duke!?!? bahahahahahah

Th goal should be to take the two best football teams, period.

A lot of people feel this way...
But I totally disagree!

Well not totally, the number 1 team should play the second to best team* (that they haven't already beat that year)!

There's TONS of subjective data that goes into ranking these teams. The most objective and important is what happens on the field in head to head competition.

LSU has already beaten BAMA this year, under the toughest of circumstances (in BAMA)! There's no reason they should be asked to do it again.

BUT UNDERSTAND THIS...IF WE ARE, WE WILL!

A one loss conf champ should play us over bama.

Logically if lsu wins out there shouldn't even be a NC game since there's no other worthy team, but at the very least lsu's opponent should be a conf champ that lsu hasn't already beaten.

Now I'm Starting to beleive that Alabama deserves a rematch.

Nobody wants to win out.

Plus, if we lose to UGA, we will want to be in New Orleans, though we didn't win the SEC.

I think it will be hard to beat us in the Big Easy.
