Jackass....did you not read the CONSERVATIVE part of what I wrote I was at the game. the play calling was very pedestrian b/c there was no need to be aggresive...our D was unbelievable..no need to open up if it's unneeded

Your the dumbass that thinks we played conservative the entire game. It's not like we jumped out to a 20 point lead in the 1st quarter and shut it down.

I just read that JJ was 10 - 16 last week.

And again threw for less than 100 yards. Of course he should have a great completion percentage, most of his throws are near the line of scrimage.(that is what is so bad about the Vandy game, even with that he still sucked). I have yet to see any defensive back on their heels because they are scared JJ will throw it down field.

Almost all passing plays have deep routes, medium routes, short routes and drop offs. I am no expert by any means, far far from it. But I can even pick up that he throws most of his passes to the shortest guy all the time. AND HE’S NOT YOUNG ANYMORE. HE’S A FREAKING JUNIOR.

I agree, this team can be very dangerous and special if we put it together. And the one holdup is still the QB. I didn’t go out on a limb there, ask 100 people what’s LSU weakest spot and I bet almost all will say QB.

Yeah nice come back....moron....when you only attempt 16 passes in a game that pretty fricking conservative...

And no it was 3 pts and our D control them for the entire game...

They only scored once on the first drive on the 2nd half and then we shut them down completely....

So nice try.......

So our coaches where so confident the defense could hold Miss St. to less than a touchdown in the first half we shut the offense down?

I don’t see the offense as being bad. I mean we moved the ball pretty good on everyone we’ve played. Rather, I see it as the offense being held back via ultra conservative play calling. Hence, Crowton needs to grow a pair and start pulling the trigger.

Are the numbers bad? It’s undeniable, but the offense isn’t bad like it was last year. For some stupid reason the coaches have been holding back.

How is that JJ’s fault? Does he call the plays?

That is more than a little obvious.

Yeah, and it always seems so close that LSU will "put it all together" but really, a lot of teams could say the same thing. Football is such a complicated and difficult game that teams rarely "put it all together". LSU did it against Auburn last year, and against VaTech for sure.

whether it is the play calling, the qb or whatever. Our offense remains in the bottom of NCAA rankings.

323 yds per game which is up 19 ypg from last year.

Our offense is bad because of play calling. We scored 14 pts on 16 plays in the second half. Pretty damn good if u ask me. We punted the ball one time. There has been improvement. Not much, but enough to say hey. Atleast they are getting into practice and working on mistakes. Not to mention the way less offensive penalties so far this year, and penalties as a whole. Oh yeah and our strength of schedule rt now is the best out of all the top teams and all the past bcs winners.
Yall wanted a harder schedule and you got it so quit botching about being 3-0.

I do have my doubts about actually opening up the play book. But in 07 we scored a lot cus we had to. Won't be the case here. The only team we would have to worry about is Arkansas. The other teams passing games are not much better than ours. This team can score 30 pnts not many will score that much against us.

It is so funny people bitch about field goals... Guess everyone forgot about the ole miss game last year, the Arkansas game, the bama vs tenn game. He'll the saints super power offense needed a field goal Monday night to win. What about UF in 07? If we could have just taken 3 pts to win you think we would have kept going for it on 4th down? Hell no.

29 points at home when the defense plays lights out and has 5 takeaways. Why is it so hard to comprehend that the inability to finish drives is going to cost us when we play the top teams?

Wow, seriously delusional good one....
Do you actually watch football just wondering LSU since 2009 has played pretty conservative.
Do I think the coaches are confident? If you actually watched the starting D I would be pretty confident. The D is what kept us from not losing more games last year and with the vast improvemnet will keep them in every game this year if not being a key factor in a better season.

Were you pick last a lot in sports?
Just wondering

Later Bitch..

Because it's part of the game. And getting points is finishing a drive. Kind of like scoring 14 points on 16 plays in the second half. Scoring 50 points still lost is 2 games in 07. Go figure..
Best d since 03. Oh and we have how many returning starters from last season... 4 they are only going to get better. Better individually and as a unit.

I think we all agree that our defense is better than last year's D. And I for one think our offense is a LITTLE better than last year. Also I think PP is going to make a few more plays than last years ST's. We won all but 3 SEC games last year and with the incremental improvements we have made and the league, to my eyes, basically the same, I don't think it's too much to believe that even with our pedestrian offense we won't be at least one game better than last year.

Most people are dumb.

Our biggest hold up, far and away, is Crowton.

On our two TD drives in the second half, Jefferson was 4 for 5 with completions of 15, 18, 3, and 18 yards.

Let the kid throw. If he screws up, then pull him.

Looking ahead to next season, even with the loss of Peterson and Sheppard on defense, this is going to be one helluva team. I think we only lose one guy (Toliver) on offense, so if the 'O' can just get some semblance of a potent attack going, we would have to be one of the favorites for the SEC title next year (with Bama, of course).
