re: If there is one improvement you want out of Coach Kelly next season, what would it be?

For me it's have the team better prepared.
The 3 open season losses and the Alabama game after 2 weeks off is an unpreparedness trend that needs to stop.
Yeah, I think that is my thing, too. It is probably the one thing, or at least the main thing, that I find problematic for a coach I otherwise like a lot.

Be prepared for the opening game.
If you win the coin toss to open the game, fricking defer. Going three and out and punting, or making a long drive only to go for it on fourth and goal to not get anything to start a game deflates your momentum IMMEDIATELY. Learn to defer, play defense, then get the 2 for 1 before halftime. Yeah, I know I am asking for way too much common sense here.
Have an offensive game plan that doesn't require the QB to throw 40 times with 15 runs up the middle. Learn to run off tackle and call it consistently when it is working. Passing on first down is great if the run is working. Passing on first down into double coverage for an incompletion then putting your team in consistent 2nd and 10 does not have a good flow. Just maddening to watch possession after possession wasted in this fashion.
Fix the special teams, but after three years, that is too much to ask.
Don't play down to inferior opponents and lose to them
Don't act like a whiny bitch that fakes outrage when you inevitably make the same mistakes over and over
Quit going for a TD on fourth and goal at the 4 (or longer) after an 8 minute drive. You have momentum, take the points.
Figure out how to contain a mobile QB
If your QB and Oline are struggling, don't call pass plays that take forever to develop while the only routes are all 20 yards downfield.
That's just a few right off the top of my head.

If Sloan is going to continue calling plays, we need BK to step in more to assist in creative offensive play calling. Towards end of the season, BK would say he stepped in more during practice and you saw a little more improvement on that end. Personally I would rather Sloan not calling the plays, but if that's the case, then that's what I would want to see.
I also want to see deeper and disciplined secondary. Year 3 was fully his recruits but I think we will see improved secondary based off our signees and Raymond working to bring DBU back. Hopefully we have successful portal signings in that area but also our O-Line and D-Line room. Have to replace Gilbert and Sage Ryan. They are terrible. Thankfully We don't have to see Major Burns talk out the side of his mouth and then get torched for the rest of the game.
Figure out how to contain a mobile QB. Don't know how you don't prepare for that when just the year before you had a Heisman winner in JD5 who was mobile. I don't get how its not in your DNA to defend mobile QBs when you had practice against one two years before.
Transfer portal will tell us a lot about if we have the potential and poised to make a deep run in the playoffs next year.

Win every game in which you're favored. Split the rest.
That gets you into the playoff.

Prioritize athletic ability over seniority.

Coach Harold Perkins up.Quit squandering his talent.
This is the only one I have an issue with.
How is Pekins' talent being "squandered" and how do you proposed he be used to not squander it?
As a freshman Perkins was essentially a situational player. He excelled in that role. But, as good teams often do, the league started to adjust. He wasn't as impactful in the final two games of that season against teams that could line up and run the ball at a very undersized DE/OLB.
He's too small to be an every-down DE/OLB. That's why he was moved to LB. He was there the entire 2023 season and wasn't overly impactful. He couldn't stand up the physicality inside and he wasn't instinctive enough at LSU to overcome it. In 2024, with a new DC and new defensive approach, he had basically the exact same issues at LB. LSU moved him to the "star" position for the South Carolina game. Again, not a ton of impact. That was the same vs. UCLA until he was hurt.
He reminds be a lot of Marcel Brooks. Remember that name? He was a situational terror off the edge in 2019. After that he never found a position. Too small to be an edge player. Not good enough as a safety. Hell, he even tried to be WR...to no avail.
Maybe Perkins is best as a situational pass rusher. But if that is the case, don't bitch when he's not on the field on 1st and (sometimes) 2nd down.

I mean I don't fully disagree but I don't recall when he wasn't impactful as an edge rusher. Its been a while but I recall him having his way to the QB every single time. Even this season when they put him there on 3rd or 4th down, he got to the QB at his own will. He is not a good coverage backer so I think we should let him max out his talent as an edge. Yes teams can adjust, but 10 times out of 10, I would put my money on him wrecking havoc in the back field. I get they are trying to develop him but coverage is not his strong suit. See Ball, Get Ball is.

You answered your own question. He should be put in the correct position by his coaches, where he can succeed. That is likely to be either a situational pass rushing specialist, a spy (would have won the A&M game for instance) or in a hybrid role where he can utilize his speed and coverage skills. He is not an inside linebacker. And he's too rare a talent to ride the bench. He is special enough to reimagine the design of the defense for. Don't just plug him somewhere where he will fail. When he gets 12 sacks and multiple turnovers/strips in year one in the NFL we will all be firmly face palming.
I am reminded of what Saban said about young tweener Skylar Green. He may not be every down receiver or an every down back; but design a few plays for him. Get him involved. Create a spot for him.

More accountability for the players and coaches.
Enough of this pat em on the back BS.

Oh, one big one I forgot:
When you inevitably fail (again) because you refuse to change, please, for the love of all that is (insert your higher being here)....
DO NOT TALK shite ABOUT NEXT SEASON. You literally have done NOTHING to back up any of your shite talk yet. It is a really bad look and one that just further infuriates the fan base.
That "receipts" comment is going to come back to bite you in the arse (again).

I hate to say this but... be more Kirby Smart-like.... His teams are consistently the best coached, they are all prepared, and by all... I mean the backups come in and execute, not just the starters. He builds kids up on the sidelines and isn't constantly seen only climbing asses. That is just a bad look all around.
Wut?
I've seen Kirby laying into kids on the sideline.
Also fans here are complaining about a "lack of preparation", what about UGA vs Ole Miss, Bama, Kentucky, etc?

Losing a game doesn't mean the team wasn't prepared no more than winning a game means they were.
