If the SEC, BigTen, ACC, Big12 and Pac-12 plays only Conference Games, all Major Conferences should come to an agreement and just push the 2020 schedule over to 2021, all non-Conference game would just stay as-is. Meaning LSU 2020 Schedule would simply be the 2021 schedule. It would be the smart thing to do. But Sadly It sounds just Too Simple for them to do.

This year they can just make up a 10 game Conference Schedule based on this year only , not based on pass or future rotation of teams on current schedules.

Any other ideas ?

Teams schedule games years in advance. Can’t just move to next year when you have opponents already.

The ideas are that the games will be rescheduled at a later date

No that would mean no LSU vs UCLA at the rose bowl in 2021

I think we just lose those games, your idea makes sense to some extent. But conference crossovers and things like that will likely shake it up too much.

Thankfully we have TigerDean to figure all the "simple" things out for us, even though he doesn't seem to grasp that we'd have to re-negotiate or pay out the contracts for the 2021 teams that wouldn't get their games that year.

You really could just push every OOC game back 1 season.

If the Power 5 play Conference games only, all games out of Conference play will be non power 5 , they will no doubt have to do something similar. This will not affect any of the 2020 schedule, just the games Scheduled will have to move to the NEXT YEAR 2021 and so on ....

The 2020 schedule can be played in 2021
The 2021 schedule can be played in 2022
The 2022 schedule can be played in 2023
The 2023 schedule can be played in 2024

Do you get it ?? All you need to do is change a date on a contract. And the out of conference games 8,9, and 10 years away can easily be adjusted.

emanresu , maybe you need to think before you speak, or just bring something to the table instead of criticism.

Dude in your world it’s way too simplistic. We have contracts for games 15+ years out. So you want EVERY team to renegotiate ~40 contracts and you think that will go flawlessly?

There is no difference in travelling to Dallas vs Birmingham! I don't understand the reasoning behind a "conference only" schedule. Team travel is team travel no matter where you go.
And what happens when 4 members of the team test positive: then the whole team has to quarantine for 14 days?
This season will be chaos no matter how you slice it.

Texas would not want to play us next year.

They would not have a senior experienced qb. They were counting on beating us at home based on that.

there won't be any games, the media is too invested in the hoax, defeating Trump is the only goal

You are SO right! Why is our country so afraid of, quite possibly, one of the greatest presidents in history! Liberal and social media has fueled this negative fire that is really getting old....

It’s not about the Travel when it comes to SEC ONLY Games. Playing only SEC makes the rules like testing, schedule, etc much Easier

It's also easier to reschedule if needed with conference only schedules.
