Right now we're scheduled to play on ESPNU at 6:00. If State beats Aubbie tonight, do they move the game to ESPN/ESPN2 or maybe even CBS?

(Assuming we win on Saturday, of course)

ETA: Which one would we play on? Time of game?

I hope so. Depends on what ESPN had scheduled already. Does anyone know?

No. The TV schedule for next week is already set. I don't recall the schedule ever being rearranged seven days before kickoff to accomodate the previous week's results.

Game is locked in for 6pm on ESPNU. Miss State could drum Auburn by 60 points and it would still remain the same.

Clemson @ Auburn is the 6:00 on ESPN right now. Nothing on ESPN 2 yet

then how is it that some weeks we have to wait on a decision from CBS to see if they pick up the game. This is sometimes as late as the Monday before the game

Actually a few times a year CBS/ESPN get to hold off on making the final decision... but I don't think they'd change the LSU vs. MSU game.

CBS probably has Florida vs. Tenn or UGA vs. Ark and the other game is the featured game on ESPN(2) I'd bet.

But --- I didn't check and don't know.

For US -- LSU vs. MSU is a bigger/better game -- but to a regional/national audience, probably not so much.

CBS already said they're going to Florida@Tennessee next week.

either way, this is a scary game...they almost beat us last year with a less talented team...this year, better team, better coach, could spell disaster!

Yeah, they have an option in the TV contract to hold two games for certain weeks. They have to give notice. But I don't think they exercised that option this week.

I thought the networks made their decisions 12 days before the game (i.e. this past Monday), with the exception that, once or twice a year, CBS can wait until 6 days before to make its choice. Unless it's one of those CBS exception situations, nothing that happens the week before a game can change the TV coverage decisions regarding network and time of kickoff, can it?

The great irony of this game is that State beating LSU could ultimately lead to State's coaching replacing Les Miles...

Be careful what you wish for MSU fans...
