I like this team exactly where they are at.
Haven't played well enough to be a number 1 with the amount of penalties we have had.
We had 10 penalties for 100 yards against SC.
You don't win many games with 10 penalties.
Ask Bama about today.

We aren’t a no.1 team at the moment. We’re getting better but still a lot of issues that are slowly getting better

Exactly, stop bringing up that game. I would actually argue that game was a benefit as it helped us understand where we need work. This team is stepping up and performing.

If not for Burns handing away the momentum we are undefeated. Kelly made mistakes too. This is not a top ranked team but they may do well in the playoffs if they survive the season without losing again

I don’t want to be #1 until the end. Too much pressure having that target on your back and rat poison. We are one of the very few programs who have the balls to schedule a big prime time game week 1, we get paid a lot of money to play it and most importantly, even after we lost it, we winning the games that matter. That shits in the rear view mirror!
