If Mr. Obese at Tennessee can turn them around at year two with a way more depleted

roster and with a fifth resources CBK has, then there better not be any excuses for Kelly. Mr Obese took over a 3-7 east team that was just bad. Now listen to this part, UT lost 35 players to the transfer portal from Sept 2020-July 2021.
Basically 90 percent of his starters from that 3-7 team gone before he coaches his first game. He brought Hooker in and developed him. He used the portal and used a scheme that gives his players the best chance at success. We will never be successful with CBK outdated offense unless we have a roster like UGA has this year. It doesn't work anymore just like Jimbo's system doesn't work. Will Kelly adapt? We will see!

Neither of these things is true. UT spends a shite ton on football and Pruitt recruited pretty damn well.

Let's wait and see what year 3 looks like at Tenn when Hooker is gone. program may not be in as good of shape as you think.

Heupel did not bring in Hooker. He brought in Milton. Hooker was already on the roster, he just tapped into his potential.
Regardless, I agree with your main point. No reason why we can’t be much improved in year 2.

Going 3-7 with your only wins over Vandy, usc and Missouri doesn't scream talent. Especially when you lose the best players on that team to Bama, a few to OU, and UNC.

Stop using that lame excuse. So many players were suspended, out with injury, or sitting out that returned to the team this year. That is lazy and not doing research.

He brought both of them in Hooker played a Va tech in 2020. He didn't join UT to last year. Look it up.

His team lost about as many players and they were worse off than LSU talent wise. We should have very high expectations next year
