They are the 2 key recruiters for the program - without them it could get really ugly trying to attract top talent.

According to a thread last night, yes they do stay.

I just really hope we get Jimbo.

If we get Jimbo, probably.

If we get Kelly, nope.

No one knows.

Perhaps not. LSU recruited top classes before Frank Wilson and Ed Orgeron arrived. If the new head coach is a good recruiter and/or he selects good recruiters on his staff, LSU should be fine.

If he is not a good recruiter and/or does not select good recruiters on his staff, it could be problematic.

I hope - we need at least 5 DL in the next class.

A new coach would be crazy not to retain them

I would find a way to "force" it on the new guy. We need some recruiting continuity.

Frank may look at this as the time for him to start moving up the coaching ladder and become an OC. somewhere

Along with Wilson and Orgeron staying, I think that strength and conditioning coach does and the defensive backs coach does. Those are the meat and potatoes of success for LSU year over year [Orgeron being a late, but well known and proven improvement of an addition].

Any corporation doesn't wholesale change the existing staff when a new CEO takes over. Yes, they do bring in a lot of new blood over time, but cannot and will not successfully throw out the baby with the bath water.

Chip Kelly is not a fit for the LSU job.

If they are not retained it would create a huge problem. I don't care how good a recruiter the next coach is. Those 2 and Raymond would be a greater thorn in the side than Saban with Louisiana recruits. They would be hired immediately by another SEC or at least a regional team. And with their connections in the state, they would be assigned La as their recruiting base. If you don't think they would get a good portion of the best players in the state, you are living in la la land.
