We should be able to win at least the SEC western division once every 5 years. So to answer the question: failure.

oh what a wonderful christmas it would be.

if if is a word than if is is the possibility and if this is true, than you are definitely a ranturd.

As long as Saban is in T-town we won't be winning any SEC championships so we might as well lower our sights a bit.

Ask Nebraska - Frank Solich.
Ask the U's - Larry Coker
Not sure if this is the right answer, but can connect the dots. If we are going to be taken for real, then we need to be real about our weak OOC schedule and winning only those games that are against the weaker SEC teams will not get us over the hump. Saban can and will get be beat on occasion. So we have to be at their level coaching and game planning wise. he is a GREAT game day coach. CLM has been very good given time to game plan (see bowl games) with equal talent.

Those odds.....of winning 10 each year and not ever going....are pretty slim.

Well, not necessarily. Considering the standard of the 12 game schedule now and the abundance of bowl games, simply going 5-3 in the SEC, beating your weak OOC rent-a-wins and winning your bowl game will guarantee a 10 win season.

Speaking of which, the 10-win season is completely over-rated now since the 12 game regular season schedule, conference championship game and overwhelming amount of bowl games. There have been more 10 win seasons by teams in the last 8 years than there had been in the previous two decades combined.

Using the most ranted of the rantarded logic anything less than 14-0 EVERY YEAR is a failure.

I'm cool with 10+ wins every season with a title mixed in every so often.

LSU would be a butter face chick with results like that. From a distance, everything is nice. Nice tits, nice thin waist, nice legs, and nice arse. When you really get a close up look, shes still got all those nice things, but you realize she's got a face full of pitted acne scars.

A strange question as posed and I have a want to say failure, but a 10 win season could never be a failure.

Now, it might be a disappointment, but never a failure.

LSU has had seven 10 wins seasons on the last 50 years. I'm not sure we can start pizzing on 10 win seasons just yet, but each to our own.

our OOC games have been pretty respectable, compared to some other top tier teams. we aren't in marquee matchups every week, but definitely above average. and winning against the weaker sec teams is not a given. any team in the conference has the potential to upset a "better" team. having only one or two sec losses is a lot harder than it used to be.

This is a good question. The 10 games your speaking of obviously count the bowl game wins since this applied to the last 100 victories (assuming a Penn State win) over the last decade. So your basicly saying around 9-10 wins a year give or take a bowl loss. I think some people including you are starting to acknowledge the truth. Les is going to have a hard time competing versus Saban and Bama. I am not talking about individual games, but overall record over an entire season. The margin for error now for Miles is so small. Even if Saban slips up and loses one game versus LSU will Miles be able to capitalize on Saban's mistake by doing well on the rest of the schedule. As I have said before Les has not proven himself capable of keeping up with Saban over the last 2 years. I think this question shows how we as LSU fans are starting to accept we are going to struggle to win the West while Miles vs Saban is here.

Like I said LINK here, 10Ws aren't so special in the inflated schedule era.

Also I can't believe someone actually said something to the effect of
quote:

since Saban is in T town we should lower our sights
Wow. Not much Fighting Tiger in that fan ehh?
