This. Les should be fired on the spot if we lose to UW and Crowton named interim head coach while we have all season to find someone decent.

Not if you ran the table after that loss and got back into the BCSCG.

If LSU loses to UW, then LSU is not anywhere close to being a good team and would have no hope of running the table.

Thousands of Tiger fans, including myself, will suffer spontaneous combustion.

Rant membership will be a shell of its former self.

I will wake up, turn off the alarm, and start watching some pre-game shows for the start of the college football season.

You're playing UW and not USC: Merry Christmas.

LAT, you do know how badly we want to get into the big game with USC and settle it on the field, don't you? Do most USC fans feel the same way, or would ya'll rather play Florida or destroy Oklahoma again?

Well that could happen to us, but isn't it more likely that our bigger, more physical players hurts one of their key guys....like Locker, for instance?

LSU has never faced a mobile QB before. We don't have to play Tebow every year or anything like that.

Seriously...this post is stupid.

I would love to see it happen. The history of the programs, though brief, is
extremely intense.

You hear Tiger fans talk even today about the 1979 game, and even though it was a loss for LSU, they were so inspired by the performance of the Tigers against the #1 Trojans that it became their "best game ever" at Tiger Stadium.

I was there at the Coliseum in 1984, and I have never seen a Trojan team embarrassed like that, so I am ready for a little payback. You killed us that day, or more correctly,
Dalton Hilliard did.

More recently there was the BCSNC going to LSU and the AP NC going to USC in
2003-04, and in the end I think most of us realize those were the two best teams, but OU
got in even after getting waxed in their own CCG. I would have loved to have seen it then.

Also, I now live in the South and have a good number of Tiger friends that I'd be going to the game with, and a good number of SC friends that I know would make the trip to Baton Rouge. The party alone would be worth it, but the game would be an all-time
epic, I'm sure of it.

Yeah, I'd like to see it, but I'd like to see us play a home and home almost more than in a Championship game vs. LSU. It'd just be a blast.

no you didn't

fine, it was 133.8. sorry.

"Note: The loudest stadium sound ever recorded was actually 133.8 dbs in Husky Stadium at the University of Washington. It was Sept 19, 1992 vs. Nebraska. It is not the reported "official" record, because ESPN recorded a sound of 130.2, and that is the official recording. However, a local suburban broadcast which documented the husky team that year recorded the 133.8 dbs. Although we can't be certain how accurate that recording is, it deserves a mentioning as the unofficial record"

If it did happen, could LSU still run the table and make it to the BCSCG?

Given your hypothetical loss, no.
That being said, I believe they will have the spread covered by half and will win going away.
11-2 with a Sugar Bowl victory(and no SECCG) is my personal prediction FWIW.

I'm with you. We have a future home and home with OU that I would trade for another with 'SC.
The '79 game was indeed a classic, though somewhat bittersweet with a brutal couple of blown calls late in the fourth quarter. The '84 game was the beginning of the brief but exciting Arnsparger era and the Trojans were just not ready for the Dalton-James gang. (Possibly fooled by the Tigers' losing record in '83) In my view these are two of the best five programs during the current decade(with one season to go) and may well be thought of that way after the next decade expires.

Jarrett Lee? I'd be pretty nervous. It might be a little unfair on the guy, this being a new season and all, but he was just a little too good at hitting defenders in the hands last season to make me comfortable.

This is great.... just so there is no misunderstanding what you're saying...
You mean to tell me you'd be less nervous having a guy that has never played a snap of college football in his life over a guy that started 8 games last yr.
I know....RS was the shite in HS.
