1. What does "proessed" mean?
2. What's wrong with the Gator Bowl?
3. LSU lost three games this year, what bowl were you expecting?

I will be happy with any team that isn't named wisconsin. Never want to play any team twice in a row.

id rather play in the gator than the fricking chick fil a again. outback or gator would be unique because it's a changeup from the cotton/cap one/chick fil a shite we usually land in when we aren't in a bcs game.

So Jennings is red shirting this year?

LSU has never played Michigan. It's the matchup LSU fans wanted in the Rose Bowl 2007. Make that happen.

So, what's your beef with Gator?

It's the fricking gator bowl. I honestly still don't know where this game is played. And I bet 90% of college football fans don't either. Sounds about the same as the fricking poulon weed eater bowl. But I guess some of you would be happy with that too since it would be a change of scenery

I don't see how any of you think LSU deserves the Cotton Bowl. Its the second best bowl after the national championship. This team has not surpassed anyone's expectations and has looked like crap most of the time.

SERIOUSLY??? STOP POSTING DICK!

LSU going to the gator bowl means that two teams with worse records (TAMU & UGA) will have been selected by bowls prior to LSU

Some say it shows lack of support from conference office and/or lack of appeal or fan support expected by LSU fans

This thread has been very informative in drawing out those posters whose only purpose seems to be dumping on LSU at every opportunity.

That was my point when I created it. Nothing wrong with the Gator bowl. It just seems that a lot of time LSU is used as the pawn that is moved every which way to set up and or benefit other member schools. This fact cannot be denied.

Playing Michigan or Nebraska would be fine. Really didn't want to see our porous D up against a high-powered offense like Okie State or Baylor. Again, would rather take a skin from a name program on a down year than let some upstart take one from us.
And why would the Gator want UGA? Been there already this year.
My guess:
Aubie-BCS
Bama-Sugar
SC-Crap 1
A&M-Outback (More people have heard of Johnny Football than AJ10)
Mizzou-Cotton (or swap w/ Aggies)
UGA-Chicken (We poo'ed on them last year & UGA will sell out a big stadium)
LSU-Gator

The primary reason we get a slip on Bowl quality is Mett's injury and the Freshman getting the start. Had this news been suppressed we get a better bid.

UGA has the same SEC record as us and beat us this year. Who cares if they lost at Clemson in the 1st game of the year? A&M has the most talked about player in college football. bowls will always want that. You and pochytiger need to stop being babies and get over it. LSU has nothing to stand on this year when it comes to which mid-level bowl it goes to.

Except a last-minute win with a frosh QB over an Arky team that didn't win a SEC game this year.
We're lucky we're not going to Shreveport!

well we played in peach bowl against a top-10 miami team with a hurt jamarcus and matt flynn making his first start, so I'm not sure how much such an injury factors into a bowl's selection process.

and auburn won in last 10 seconds against Mississippi State, so I'm missing your point. A win is a win., but style points don't impress me

I guess you need me to work on developing that sarcasm font for ya. Well, maybe you haven't seen all the Jennings six Heisman posts he also referenced.
