15 years ago, Florida was coming off a national title and LSU was our "homecoming game the year before"

Now you guys are not content with a top 5 finish?

Unbelievable. Do you not realize how fricking difficult it is to finish in the top 5? You almost lost to Auburn 4 days ago....

Still at it, huh?

And you almost lost to A&M.

And you looked like crap against Bowling Green.

And you beat the worse team in the SEC.

Like I said last night, you really have some issues if you can't see the obvious.

Worst not worse.

Louisiana Monroes offense looked better at AU than Louisiana State....

Jeff Driskel is tested and getting better each week. Turn on ESPN, I think Mettenberger is still holding on to the ball waiting on a WR to get open. If Mett and your offensive line doesn't get better over the next week and half, UFs front seven is going to have a field day.

Since you decided to focus on that, how about your opener against Bowling Green? I've asked you 3 times about it and you dodged the question every time.

Fair enough. Although A&M led most of the game however UF did win. So that sort of defeats the argument you said in the other post, doesn't it?

No thanks.

Riiiiiight.... just like you had against Bowling Green or Kentucky?

Oh wait, I forgot about Tennessee, my fault. Very easy to shut down a team when they're one dimensional. TN and A&M fall into that category.

Don't you agree?

TBH he better, because Gillislee and Burton are going to have problems trying to run on LSU. Don't let the Auburn score fool you. LSU had mental errors that kept the game close. The box score tells the real story.

No. This year anything less than a NC is unacceptable.

We have the best, deepest corps of RB's ever. We have two of the best DE's in the league. Arguably the best SS in the land. Our top 5 revruiting classes are bearing fruit. And new lights in Baton Rouge.

I would be very happy but i want a title plain and simple but its hard to finish top 5 and all these LSU fans need to realize that you can not win a championship every year..

No SEC championship as well.
Depends on who won the SEC. If the Champ came out of the West and it was not us, I would be disappointed.

If LSU played well in all their games and gets beat... Then I can't complain.

If we were to win out in the SEC and then lose the SEC Championship win a bowl and finish 5th....i would have to say that is great success... With additional goals and aspirations - sec championship and national championship to strive for.

I would not hang a banner for sec west "championship" though....it's one of our goals but not banner-worthy.

Anytime we finish Top 5 that's very successful. I'm realistic.

No, just because I had high expectations coming of the nc appearance. I realize we have a few starters out for the year, but with the recruiting I think we can find guys to minimize the players lost.

It depends on how we get there. I've felt better about a final #15 ranking than I do after finishing #2 last year, even though the regular season was probably the best ever.

Are you serious? Yeah I would love the fact of no sec or national title.

the answer is absolutely NO. it would be a successful year if we finish top 5 but it would not satisfy those of us who have the highest goals for theis team.

now, if we win the SEC and finish top 5 and no SEC team wins the NC and we don't have a fiasco loss like 1/9, then thats as close to satisfied as I can get without a nc. remember, we finished no.2 last year, won sec and nobody was satisfied.

Going into the season, I definitely had NC aspirations. But with the loss of Faulk and some signs of weakness at positions that I thought were going to be a strength i.e. Wide receiver, I would be perfectly satisfied with a top 5 ranking at the end of the year.

You are a fricking idiot. If you want an analogy here you go.

If I went to the bar hoping to bring home a 10 but had to settle for an 8/9 would I be satisfied?

frick yes I would

I would be disappointed for the players, I think their goal is higher than that

but no wouldn't really affect me as a fan. I don't think the team plays for me. I just get to watch and enjoy (99% of the time )
